"Not the best song selection, but good DDR mix."

Dance Dance Revolution Konamix for the Playstation is a very good game. To get the full effect of this game you need a dance pad. You can buy soft pads for about $15 - $20 each. You can play with a controller, but it's not recommended, as it's just not as fun.

You play like this, arrows start from the bottom of the screen and move up (the speed at which they move depends on how fast the song is), and when they get to the top, you have to press the corresponding arrow on the pad. So if the left button reaches the top of the screen you would hit left with your foot.

There are quite a few different modes you can enter. The first one is just 4 arrows. (up, down, left, and right) It's just on one pad. The second mode is 6 panel. Where it has the regular four, and an up-left diagonal, and an up-right diagonal. Adds a little bit more flavor to it. Then the last single player mode is double. Where you use two pads and alternate between the pads according to where the arrows go.

Then you can also play two players at once. Each player playing the same song, but on their own pad.

There are three different levels of difficulty, along with an individual rating of how hard the song is. The three levels are basic, trick, and maniac. Basic being the easiest, and on up. Then each level has a foot rating. It just says how hard the song is by a number between 1 and 9.

The graphics on this game are sub-par, or at least the backgrounds are. The backgrounds have nothing to do with the song, but some of them look pretty cool. It think Konami was rushed during the making of this game. ^_^

There are also several other modes you can enter. First there is a ''workout'' mode, that keeps track of how many kcals you've burnt. Good for seeing how much exorcise you got.

Another mode is the ''edit'' mode. This is where you can get creative and make the steps to any song, and save them for later use. Make the arrows so you can bust out some awesome moves and impress some people!

There has been a new aspect to the Dance Dance Revolution games, and it's called ''freestyling''. It's where you try to look cool when you dance. That could by like using your hands to hit the arrows, or your knees, switching pads with a partner in a routine. Just being creative.

There are SO many things that are cool about this game it's hard to find things that aren't... Or is it? The song collection isn't the greatest in the world, but it suits your needs. And with I believe 52 songs, how can you go wrong? This is a MUST have for anyone who wants to have fun dancing and trying a new game, or for people who want to lose weight, etc. My mom has even played this and she loves it! Pick this up today folks!
