Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes

"Hero Against Hero...the Showdown."
Introduction
Marvel Vs. Capcom – Hero against Hero
Punch, kick, jump, it’s all in your powers to do these. And Marvel Vs. Capcom boasts 15 new characters to use, to venture their super powers, and all their deadly secrets. In the 15 characters, there are some old faces, like Megaman, and some new faces, like Roll. Some special characters that need to be unlocked through secret coding, and some who will be automatically unlocked when you defeat it. It’s all in here, Marvel Vs. Capcom!
Gameplay: 8
Marvel Vs. Capcom is an extremely fun game to play with. No matter single player or multiplayer, you’ll have hours and hours of fun. Although I find it more interesting and exciting playing with a human, there’s still single player when you’re alone. In single player mode, you’ll venture and fight some characters, all randomly chosen before facing the final boss, Onslaught, the nemesis, the ultimate killing machine. In multiplayer mode, there’s versus where each player chooses one character each and battles it out, May the best player wins. There’s also crossover function, where the computer chooses one character, and you chooses one. The chosen ones are combined to form a team, and these two characters will battle their exact duplicates. There are advantages and disadvantages; of course, everything still goes down to luck in which character the computer will choose.
Audio: 7
Though somewhat lacking, but it’s still acceptable. Much background music is played in different maps. There are also the character’s voices, in which they shout when they perform a special move. Pressing the select button will cause the character to pose, or taunt depending on which character it is. In Spiderman and Venom’s side, they will mutter some words as if they are in a comic book. Very cool eh? Also, there’s superpower moves for each character, some movements from the D-Pad and the L1, or L2 button performs mostly all of them. There’s also tag team superpower, in which your sidekick and the main character performs each of their finishing move and blasting it towards the enemy. Very powerful when used correctly, I must say.
Graphics: 9
Awesome graphics are displayed in Marvel Vs. Capcom. All of the characters are very well drawn, and their finishing moves are combined with many sparks and explosions. Those fancy backgrounds also help out a bit. In the end of each round, if the player or the computer uses a finishing move to make history to the enemy, the finishing moves’ name will be displayed. In some cases like Captain Commando, his entire team will pose at the end if you use the Captain Storm attack. Getting into you? There’s still more!
Story: 5
Basically, the world is in danger because of Onslaught’s arrival. Not much in-depth built in here, but nonetheless, you will still blast your way through and finish off Onslaught right? I can’t really explain much here, because mine is in the Japanese version and I don’t understand Japanese thoroughly. No trouble though, as the story doesn’t play much of a part in Marvel Vs. Capcom.
Replayability: 10
One round only lasts mere minutes, 100 seconds at most, because I think there’s a time limit to it. What’s more, one round won’t provide much fun. You must play a lot and a lot of rounds to get a kick outta this game. In single player, maybe one entire game would be enough. In multiplayer though, play and keep on playing! It’s whole fun for the entire room!
Buy or Rent?: Buy
You should really buy this game if you have lots of siblings and you can be sure playing multiplayer is easy. However, you can also play it alone. This game is very easy to spot in arcades, so you should train up your skills, polish them a bit and thrash all the people in your local arcades. Sounds cool eh?
