"Good, but THPS is better"

Well this is yet another skateboarding game for the Sony Playstation console. I generally like skateboarding game so naturally I picked this up. In fact this was the first skateboarding game I got, and I have to say this could be better.

Basic Story Line: Well in this game, you just pick a skater to use and shred a city, town, course, whatever, in a certain amount of time. You have to get a certain amount of points to beat that level. As you progress through the game, you get more decks, more skaters, more courses, and higher stats for skaters.

Game Play: 7/10 This is the part of the game that could be better. As I stated before, you have to get a certain amount of points in the course you're in to get to the next area. Well this can be EXTREMELY irritating because it's hard to get that much point. And if there wasn't a time limit, it would be easy. Unfortunately there is a time limit so you get rushed. Also, if you wipe out, you LOSE points, which makes it harder to beat a level. The game play is not that good compared to other skating games such as Tony Hawks Pro Skater (THPS).

Graphics: 9/10 Well the graphics is pretty good. The environment, such as trees and water, is pretty well detailed. Also half pipes and ramps have words (like Jump) written on them. The graphics is pretty good. The only thing that could improve it is some blood. I don't mean a whole mess of blood shooting out of the head. I just think a little blook after wiping out would make the graphics more realistic.

Music: 10/10 Well in this game, you have a choice in which music you want in the level. There are about ten different music to choose from. Some of them are pretty good too. The music is definitely great.

Realistic-ness: 7/10 Well this game isn't that realistic compared to THPS. For example, if you get a lot of air off a half pipe and you land on like your head, you just lose some points and you're back on the board. Well if you really fell from a high place and landed on your body, you wouldn't be able to get back on the board that easily. Also, there should be some blood when you wipe out.

Rent or Buy: Rent This game will keep you busy for a few days but not that long. Renting it is a good idea.

Overall: 7/10 I would recommend Tony Hawks instead of this game.
