"A great Captain Tsubasa Game for PlayStation!"

Captain Tsubasa J Review

Game play - 9/10
This game is a pretty fun game! I think this game is an average game since it isn't too hard for beginner and not too easy. The controls are quite easy to understand and once you have comfortable with the control, there shouldn't be much problem for you to play nicely. You also have to have a good timing for this game to play like a pro. When you are a beginner, try to comfort yourself with the control using Easy difficulty mode. After you get yourself comfortable with the control just play with normal mode, also if you have already a great timing, and a great control of the controllers and can perform special other than standard special very well, try hard mode, try to use worse team and for COM use a better team.

Story - 9/10
It's all about soccer, the storyline is pretty good, but too bad, the dialogues in the story line, all of them are in Japanese, so it's quite hard to understand for those who don't understand Japanese language like me, but the story contains movie animation which makes the player quite understand the story even if they don't understand Japanese language because they can watch the movie animation, if the story is text without the animation, then it would be so hard for everyone (that don't understand Japanese) who plays this game to understand the story line.

Audio/Video - Audio: 6/10, Video/Graphics: 7/10
Well, the music of this game is (for me) not too great, I often choose to turn off the music than to turn on the music during the game, sometimes (for me) the music can make a player comfortable, but sometimes also disturb the player. There is only one music you can use to have a match in VS mode, you can't change it to another music, but in story mode, there is a few match which use different music than the one that is used in VS mode. For the video, the graphic when you play is good if you release the special move, well at least, a bit of animation, but the game offers enough good graphic. I also will say that this game's graphic is not too flexible like Konami(or FIFA)'s soccer games, but the pictures of the each character's face (next to their name, you can also see them if you do a special move) is great, looks cool. I never saw a soccer game with this kind of graphic.

Re playability - 9/10
This game is worth to replay after you finish the game, because after you finish it, you can get some new teams for VS mode also you can still raise your team's level. Just like the one that I wrote in the game play part, after you can beat the game with the worst team (For you) in the game and with the best team (For COM)in the game with hard mode, there is no more challenge the game can give you, BUT your friends can always give you the challenge by have a match with you with 2 Memory Cards, this is one of the points to raise your team's levels and always replay the game, to become the best his/her team's player. Some people like to grow up their team levels and become the best among his/her friends, so why don't you try it?!

Buy or Rent
I would say that it is better to buy this game, but you may never seen this kind of game, so just rent first and you can see what kind of game is this. But this game is a very rare game, so I would suggest you to buy it than to rent it.
