Crash Team Racing

Crash Team Racing is the latest effort from Naughty Dog, the company most famous for creating the Crash Bandicoot games. They come back now with another exceptionaly game featuring Crash Bandicoot, the PlayStation's mascot, and friends. Take the basic cart racing game, and then add fun weapons and powerups, a innovative turbo system, and 8 of your favorite characters, and you have this game.

You can play as Crash, Coco, Pura the Tiger, Polar the Bear, N. Cortex, N. Gin, Dingodile, and Tiny the Tiger. (There are additional secret characters.) All of these names should found familiar to people who have played past Crash games. Each of the carts is different, and racing with each one requires you to adapt to something new.

There are many different modes of play. In 1 Player, you can just race, or you can do the Adventure mode. In this mode, you race each track, trying to place first. After you finish a track, you can go back and try to get a time trial relic, or a CTR coin. TO get the relic, you need to beat the current time on the level. To get the coin, you need to collect the letters C, T, and R on the level and place 1st. In 2 Player mode, you can race, or do battle mode.

This game is a must have for a cart racing fan, or a fan of the Crash series. It's really fun, and it never loses it's novelty.
