"Not the Worst Game Ever, but Still Pretty Bad"

The first time I played this game, and saw it played, was at a friends house. She was actually really good at it, and said it was fun. I got this game in a two pack with another game, for really cheap so I though, ''What the hell?''. Well, sadly, it didn't live up to my expectations in almost any factor.

Graphics: 6/10

The graphics aren't bad, actually, but they are not the best either. The environments are well detailed, as are the Dinos' designs. But what is sad, is the fact that the Jurassic Park game for Genesis can be called prettier. One bad thing about this game is the camera angles. They are to the side, like old-school games, and that just DOES NOT work with the style of game play that goes with this game. Plus, the humans just look...odd.

Control: 2/10

The control is really bad. It doesn't react well, and so you will frequently die because of it. Really annoying. Control is a major factor in ANY game like this, and it just does not fall well into the good category with this game. The controls just seem clunky and stiff. Sadly, it is very easy to feel the minute you begin the game.

Game Play: 1/10

The major factor in reviewing Video Games runs short in this game, sadly. The game play seems to be tuned toward a more old-school, but it also seems to be tuned for a new style as well. The mix just DOES NOT work together. All you go is run from enemies in this game, and try and collect easily hidden objects. Even with many different playable characters (er, Dinosaurs), this game still does not live up to anything. Plus, there is really no story at all to this game. Just running, and trying to survive. Another downside is the incredible learning curve, and the randomized difficulty. The game gets very hard very fast, and then all of a sudden, it gets easy on you. Very unbalanced.

Music: 7/10

Actually, the music is not half bad. The sound effects are actually great, and come right from the movie. They sound entirely realistic, and are noteworthy. In fact, they are excellent. But the music, and speech just plain suck. You can barely hear it most of the time, and in some levels it is literally, non-existent.

Replayability: 7/10

If you can get over the games numerous glitches, and problems, you will find it enjoyable, and you will play it many times, just for the fun of it. It is quite replayable just because of the fact it is frustrating.

Rent or Buy?: Rent

This is not a game you want to buy. Even the most hardcore Jurassic Park fans will dislike this game. It isn't much, but it is cheap, so buy it if you are ABSOLUTELY bored.

Well, this concludes the bashing. If you can overlook the multiple bad points in this game, then you will find a rather good game on your hands.
