Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior's Dreams
Review by Myzery_Clown
"Street Fighter beginners might like this one"
This game is especially for beginning Street Fighters, because it's not as difficult as Alpha 3 and 2.
GAMEPLAY 8
The gameplay for this game is all right. You can execute super combos, chain combos, and stuff of the sort. They are also special moves, which are a decent sized factor in the game. The controls are a little slow, no speed compared to SFA3. the game is also sputtery at times.
GRAPHICS 6
The graphics are very nice in the game, except there's not enough of them. There are only 6 stages to fight in, and the backgrounds in 2 of them look really bad. The caharacters look OK, but they need work. The rest of the backgrounds look pretty good, except they could put a little more bright color in to them.
SOUND 9
great sound on this one. the battle noises, screams, punches, kicks, speials, and other noises go well with the game. sometimes a character will scream out what the move is, like ryu will scream, "Hadoukin!" or Charlie will yell, "sonic Boom!" this is OK if you're not familiar with a lot of the moves. the music is all right. a nice action filled pack of instruments thrown together. Put it in a CD player and you can listen to the songs.
DIFFICULTY 4
This is exactly why this is for Street Fighter beginnings. the difficulty is not very hard, and it's a nice game to perfect moves and combos with after you've learned them. a couple hard guys like Ryu and Ken are sprinkled around, but over-all the game isn't very hard at all.
REPLAY VALUE 5
not enough modes. There's the traditional arcade game, where you just fight guys until you reach M.bison and defeat him, and there's VS. mode where you fight against a frienThere's a training mode to perfect your combos and moves as well. the game has nothing else. There's three characters that should keep you going for a while that are hidden. it's kind of fun to play as them, but this game just loses it's bite after a little.
RENT/BUY
If you're a veteran fighter, pass up this one and go for street Fighter Alpha 3. as the saying goes, "Pick on somebody your own size!" But if you've never played street Fighter before, or have had little experience, maybe get this one to learn the stuff. Maybe about 5 or 6 rents should do you good, but then go for something harder. good for beginners, and only beginners.
