"Pretty Good....For a racing game."

I got this game for my minor birthday present form my uncle. Minor meaning he just got it for me for the hell of it. This game got some major game play time out of me. I got bored of it after a while, and then I got gameshark. Gameshark got me back into this game because of the paintball mode, but then I got bored of it because my thumb started getting blisters and the races took to long.

Game play 7/10

The game play was great....At first. When I first got this game I played, but those races took way to long. The paintball mode accessed through gameshark was fun, but then I just got bored of this game, way to repetitive. It may be just that I don't like racing games, but I was getting blisters on my thumb. It was so boring I could sleep (and I always seemed to be in last v_v).

Story N/A

Well, there was no story in this game. Do you want to know why? Well, it's because it's a racing game, and racing games don't have storylines. The point is to win the Nascar Championship.

Audio/Video 4/10

Ugh, it should get a lower mark. The only reason it got a four because I liked the sounds, but the music was so boring it was that Nascar music type of thing. I hated it. Some people may like it, but I didn't.

Graphics 8/10

For a game that was made in '98 it was pretty good. Maybe a couple of flaws, but they were pretty solid. These graphics are better then some PS2/GCN/X-box games that are out, and that's pretty good considering this game was released four years ago.

Replayabilty 9/10

Eh, you can keep playing and playing, but you have to have patience, if you don't this game will be lost somewhere in your house. Personally, I have a bit of patience, but come on it toke like 30 mins. to finish a race.

To buy or to rent

I would say rent first. If you like Nascar games this is a good choice. If you have patience this game is the game for you. If you don't and just want to get to the point and experience different things in a game this game is NOT the game for you. As I said before rent first, if you like it then buy it.

Overall this game gets a 6/10 my patience meter ran out and I haven't played this game for two years.
