Destruction Derby 2
Review by Spardademon
"For 7$, this is one is a must-have."
So DD2's graphics aren't awesome. Taking into account that this game came out way before the Playstation2, the graphics aren't all that bad. Plus, you spend most of your time smashing and having fun that you don't even notice the polygons after a few minutes of gaming. This game is also a perfect way to express your anger. Ever feel like your neighbors are horrible drivers and you just want to strangle them every time they it your lawn trying to park? Say no more! Fight bad driving with bad driving, don't let tham push you around destroy them!! Ahem..yes...my point is...this game is an awful lot of fun.The few flaws consist of polygon graphics, a weird feeling that you can't break properly, the controls are a big foggy and you can't play multiplayer inside an arena. Don't try to rent this game for you'll spend more money doing so than to just buy it in preowned.
Now for some detail. The graphics are squary, the pixels show a lot, and your car looks like a garbage can. Right now you're probably telling yourself, forget it, I've seen better than that. But YOU DIDN'T as a matter of a whole. For you playstation1 fans, notice this game's graphics doesn't go any farther than any other game on the first playstation. We've all see what the GT series have done to their graphics, we all know they're the best you've seen on the system speaking of racing games, which brings me to another point, entertainment.
This game gets the monkey out of you, gets the green on your skin starting and you won't try to kill the next bad driver on your way to work. Hence the name Destruction Derby, you DESTRUCT! MWHAHAHA! Yes finally a game that lets you get it out, that lets your anger soar and your inner psycho-driver soar. Breaking in front of a bunch of cars has never been so much fun. Watch them fly and spin over your head as you're laughing your heart out. Not only does this game contain a race mode like any other race games, but it contains a very special mode which you psycho-borns will love, an arena! Yep, twenty cars, a round arena, and your off and at it crashing stuff. Unlike GT which is a simulation of real cars, this one is the complete contrary.
Although there aren't too many cars, it still leaves you with an urge to destroy the one you already have. The controls are not complicated but quite hard to get used to. Turning isn't as easy, the breaks are weak which leaves you no chance to make a U-turn without having to slam into another car, which is also a lot of fun too.
So there you have it folks, quite a fun game for so little money. It is a must have for all hardcore racers.
