Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus

Oddworld Abe's Exoddus is yet another one of the greatest games I have ever played. Im sure you can find some fun and joy out of this 2D with some 3D element game. But this isn't just any ordinary game. It is more of an experience than anything, heartwarming and sinister all in one. If I can find one reason why someone wouldn't deserve this game I would include it in this review but so far, im all out of anything negative. But now we should continue with the review, lets proceed...

The gameplay is unique, original, fun, and nothing like you have seen in any other game before this. By the sound of the title, you could automatically assume that this game is somewhat different. (And so much improved than the first!) This game is similar to the first one and all in all very much the same. There has been a new added feature which allows you to save anywhere anytime (quiksave) But of course like most games it has improved...ALOT! The controls are easy to get used to and a helpful tutorial will guide your twitchy button fingers. So no need to worry in that department. The Mudokons have real feelings so you have to still treat them like you care and guide them without making any minor mistakes. You are able to possess most of the enemies in the game as well making it far more interesting and very funny. Also the enemies are far more smarter and more improved as well as newer enemies. The gameplay and controls couldn't get anymore smoother so I give the gameplay a 10!

You play as Abe, you are out to save your Mudokon friends from being tortured and slaved. The evil Glukkons are using Mudokon tears as the main ingredient in the beverage called SoulStorm Brew. Abe must free the Mudokons and lead them to freedom. I think this story is very original and gripping. With a story this good, I easily give it a 10 for originality.

You will be in 2 dimensional heaven with this game. There are also 3 dimensional elements added but not to much to ruin the 2D gameplay. Really the whole game is 2D. All the backgrounds are just gorgeous and the graphics are stunning. The level of detail in this game will never fail to amaze you. All the sounds and sound effects are perfect to. All of the sounds in this game as well as the graphics will suck you right into the environment while playing. With all of this said the graphics and sounds get a 10.

This wonderful adventure spans on 2 CD's so it will be sure to keep your playstation warm. The playime is just enough to satisfy you and keep you going. The re-playability aspect of this game is really high. While this game is an adventure to draw feelings out of you, re-playing it is a must. Trying to save all the Mudokons is a challenge in itself. But try your best, and when you beat the game, just go back and try again. You will have so much fun with this game I assure you...playtime and re-playability get a 10.

Final Word- Well thats my review and I hope you found it useful, I don't point gamers in a direction of dissapointment. If you find this game then get it. You really can't go wrong with a game such as this.
