Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear

This score would have been WAY lower if it weren't for certain things that kept my attention in this game. I guess the PC version had to have been much better than this because I was still disappointed.

:Gameplay:

Don't get me wrong now I love Tom Clancy games but I did expect a lot more in this game. The controls are semi-complicated and take practice before making (almost near) perfect. They can become very frustrating at times so if you really want to get into this game you would just have to bear with it. I would say the best aspect in this game that will probably hold most of your attention would be the planning out your moves option. And getting your guys ready for each mission while there are loads of weapons and armor options to pick from for each mission you are assigned. Another good thing about this game is that it is 2 players. That is good for all you die hard Tom Clancy fans. If it weren't for these options that salvaged the score then thats why it would have been much lower.

:Story:

If you ever read the back of the game I can give you as much as you gathered information wise. You are a highly skilled top secret team out to rescue hostages and save the world from deadly terrorists. Those are your goals.

:Graphics/Sounds:

Here is where the game lacked big time. The graphics could have been a little bit better. The frame rate seems seriously slow and while the levels are nicely detailed and big, you feel like this games potential was shot. To me the graphics are mainly the only thing keeping this score down. But in all reality it is gameplay over graphics and the gameplay is very decent. The sounds were good. All the sound effects and dramatic music fit perfectly.

:Playtime/Re-playability:

If you are able to get over those minor issues, like me, im sure you will enjoy this game. There are plenty of options and levels to keep you going so the game never stops giving...which is good. I myself occasionally play this game so the replay value is pretty good. Just give this game a chance.

:Final Word:

Well thats the verdict. I would seriously recommend you rent this game first if you are looking to buy. Always remember that the gameplay is always better than graphics. If the game is really good, then why bother with anything else although it does take practice in some areas but thats something you can accomplish. The gameplay always remains challenging and thrilling so take this game for granted. I really hope you enjoy this game and thank you for reading my review.
