"To quote the great David Bowie... LETS DANCE!!!"

There are very few video games that come along in a persons life that change the way they look at them. They can make someone want to make games, or they can make someone want to start collecting them. I have found a game that has changed my life, and it is called Dance Dance Revolution. It makes me want to master this game (and the rest in the series)...

Gameplay - 10/10
I was going to actually give this two scores. One for playing this game on the dance pad, and one playing this game on a regular Playstation controller, but I decided to only give it a score on how this game was supposed to be played (using the dance pad).

Konami uses a very simple concept for the game: Press the arrows on your dance pad when they reach the the top of the screen. Sounds simple, doesn't it? It is simple at first, but you will soon realize that this game requires 3 things. Stamina, Rhythm, and Mental. Mental is the only one you will not use if you don't play in the arcade. Over all, this is a very simple, yet very challenging gameplay (and you get one major workout also!)

Graphics - 8/10
Wow, I didn't know the Playstation could be so pretty. This game has 60 fps and the character models are looking great. You will not really notice the background effects when you are playing, because you will be looking at the arrows, but if you are watching someone play the the game, you will notice how trippy the background effects are. There isn't much to say, about the graphics except they gave me a ''wow'' when I first seen them.

Music/Sound - 9/10
This game has some incredible music, but of course it doesn't compare with the arcade since this is a Playstation disk. I personally like every song except for two songs, and the game has over 45 songs. The interface music is even good too!

Story - 0/10
The story is simple, there is no story... Simple huh?

Rent or Buy?
I would think trying to rent this game at your local Blockbuster would be pretty hard, since this a Japanese game, SO GO AND BUY IT RIGHT NOW! But I can only recommend buying this game if you want to pay a little bit more money for a dance pad. It's worth it though, because without out it, this game would be getting a MAJOR lower score then what you see...
