"One Of The Best Star Wars Games On The Playstation"

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I also like good multiplayer fighting games. So naturally, when I heard that LucasArts was coming out with Demolition, I desperately wanted to play it. To make it even better, this would be one of the first games to come out that would blend the old Star Wars trilogy with The Phantom Menace. So in other words you would finally be able to see a battle between an AT-ST and the episode one AAT. To me that's pretty cool. Well, I suppose it's time I start typing up another review for another Star Wars game again. Here it goes...

Gameplay 9/10: Demolition isn't the type of fighting game where you have two characters on the screen fighting kung fu with each other. This is complete vehicular combat. Well, actually there's one character that isn't riding around on a vehicle: Boba Fett. So basically you just go around and blast the crap out of your opponents until their ships blow up. That's how you win. The reason that gameplay received an nine is because of the controls. The controls are usually very awkward to a person who has never played before. Fortunately, you can get used to the controls within the first half hour or so.

Challenge 9/10:The challenge of the game isn't that bad at all. Once you get used to the controls the game seems much easier. If you're trying to simply beat the game, then you shouldn't have any problem at all. If you're trying to unlock secret characters though, then the game will end up being a lot more difficult.

Story 9/10: During the Shadows of the Empire time period (between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). Jabba the Hutt has rounded up all of the best fighters he can, and has them battle each other until only one is left. Yeah, that seems like something Jabba would do.

Graphics 8/10: I have seen better graphics on the Playstation I'll admit, but these are okay. The cutscenes were beautifully done however, some of the best I've ever seen on the Playstation. The levels and characters were well done too, but they could have been better.

Sound 10/10: The one thing that the Playstation did better than the N64 was sound. So, of course, Demolition sounded great. The dozens of explosions in Demolition were great, as well as the lasers, and other whatnot. The music was pretty good too, but I don't think all of the themes were from the Star Wars movies.

Playtime/Replayability 9/10: It's harder to stop playing this game than it is to beat it let's just say. The multiplayer feature should keep you busy for a while, or if you stay inside all day like a lazy buffoon, and don't have any friends, then you can try to unlock the SECRET CHARACTERS!

Rent or Buy? I suggest renting this game first, to see if you like the controls and the such. Or if you don't care if is good or bad, as long as it's Star Wars like me, then buy it.

All in all this is great multiplayer game, in my opinion nearly on par with Smash Brothers! That's all I have to say.
