"Not Worth the Money"

Unless you can find this on sale for five bucks, it's not worth the money. Believe me.

Graphics: 7/10

Above average for Playstation. A good bit blocky and glitchy, but the coloring was too... bright. It's not supposed to be realistic, but it couldn't get brighter. Maybe that's good for younger kids, but I don't like in your face, make the walls change, dot producing graphics. However, if you're like me, that doesn't matter much anyways.

Sounds: 5/10

SFX were pretty bad. Especially shields and ''Powerslides.'' Sounds like you're pouring raw beans into a wooden bowl. Driver had much better tire squealing effects. The BGM was alright except it was mono-instrumental, meaning it's all played by the same instrument, and it sounds like some electronic keyboard.

Gameplay: 1/10

This is definately what killed it. Here's your plot: <The Great Rocket Racer is bored because he beats everyone he races. It's your job to give him a challenge.> WHAT'S THAT? It remindes me of Super Mario Brothers's save the princess junk! If you want a racing/driving game with a plot, again I say Driver. There's no challenge to it either, except for when you get to time trial, but that's a different story. And please, PLEASE do not try the multiplayer. Believe me, you'll be sorry. The 1 that's up there came from the ability to make your own car, allowing you to be... somewhat creative. The courses stink, with only like five shortcuts in the game and maybe an obstacle every two or three tracks. The ''powerups'' are really pretty stupid. Except the mummy's curse is alright.

Replayability: 0/10

This one didn't exactly help the overall rating either. Believe me, once you beat it, it ends there. There's no point in playing it again. You've got all the level, all the characters (even though you have to create them), all the everything. The ONLY reason I can see of anyone playing it again after they beat it would be if this was the only game they have, and they were really bored. And I mean REALLY bored. Well, there's really no reason to play multiplayer, either, unless you just wanted to show your friend how bad it was.

Overall: 1/10

It could have been worse. Barely, but still. No, it's better than Gameboy racing games by far. By FAAAAAAR. And I would rather play it than that Pokemon junk. Well, I enjoyed writing this, and I hope you will take my advise and renting or borrowing instead of buying.
