Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style

"Fighting, Extreme Violence, and A Famous Rap Group! What More Could You Ask For?"
Wu-Tang is a pretty old game and I haven't played it in a while but because it's soooo good, I can still remember a lot about this game. How can anyone hate it? Anyways, let's start the review, shall we?
Story 8/10: I'll be honest. The story is weird. Also, I don't quite get it. The Wu-Tang clan's master (or whoever he is) is kidnapped (I guess you could say...) by Mong Zhu, your villian. Mong Zhu is after some sort of...writing that happens to be on the master's skin (Eww...). Eventually, you'll get it. It's SORTA original but the whole kidnapping and sending hordes of cronies to kill the heroes is NOT original (AND I LOVE ORIGINALITY). Ok Story.
Sound 10/10: The music is GREAT!! I love the music!!! I'm not the biggest fan of the Wu-Tang clan and I don't know their music that well but I'm sure it's their...songs that're being used in the game. Also, the SFX is good, too. There is lots of different sound affects in this game but I personally like it when Hei Mudan says, ''Come here, little boy.'' Hehe!! It's soooo funny!! There's also the talking in the storylines and those are done well. Great Sounds!!!
Graphics 10/10: Even though they're not the best for the Playstation, they're still good. The storyline graphics are probably the best done. There's not a lot of those storylines but when they do come, you wanna watch the whole thing cuz it looks sooooo good!! The fatalities are done well, too. The blood, the punching, the kicking, the slashing, everything is done well!!! Great Graphics!!!
Controls 9/10: I wouldn't say the controls are super responsive but they're good nonetheless. Of course, you can basically remember the...basics but pulling off moves are a different story. Maybe it's just because I have a low memory span but I can't remember a lot of moves. However, I don't need them :). Anyways, the controls are like most of the controls in fighting games. Two buttons for kick and two buttons for punch. Nice Controls!
Gameplay 9/10: Not a perfect 10 because it's a little too short, in my opinion. Anyways, in order to get violence for the game, you need a password. Now, when you've got through that, you can play Vs. Mode, Story Mode, or Practice Mode. In practice, you simply learn a character's moves and...well...practice! In Vs, you can fight the computer or your friends (3 of them MAX) or a mix! You can have teams (but no fatalities) or you can have a free-for-all!!! It's fun to practice on actual people trying to kill you. In Story Mode, you have to collect chambers by completing different tasks, whether that's simply beating a level or doing a 10-hit combo. Either way, it'll take you a while to finish (but not THAT long). When you obtain certain chambers, you can unlock fatalities (which you can do after every battle), secret characters (there's quite a lot), battlefields (you know, the places where you fight), or other secret stuff (early artwork, extra things for the the fights like scaling mode where you can make your character bigger or smaller, etc.). That leads me to my next topic...but...Good Gameplay!!
Replayability 8/10: Well, you'll want to play through Story Mode with all the characters if you want all the secrets. That'll have you playing for a while (mainly because of the combo part). Then there's mastering the secret characters' moves (but they're the same as the regular characters with the exception of the 3 bosses you can unlock). There's a lot, basically. It'll have you playing for AT LEAST a day, depending on how good you are. However, there isn't much else...either way... Good Replayability!!
Difficulty ?/10: I can't really say because this is a fighting game. So it all depends on the person. If you stink at this game, you'll have a difficult time. On the other hand, if you rule this game, you can beat it in no time and it'll be easy. For me, I'm only ok with a few characters (but my brother was good with the people I wasn't and vise versa) so the difficulty wasn't too hard or too easy. ??? Difficulty...
Other: Well...nothing else to say except that some of these fatalities get gruesome so be sure you're not squeemish! Then again, it's also kinda stupid...but that's not the point!
Buy or Rent? Well...I personally think you should BUY it. It's just fun to have around and you'll have a blast playing with three of your friends (which means 4 people will be playing for those of you who can't figure it out). Of course, I seriously doubt you'll unlock everything if you just rent it so, like I already said, you should BUY it.
Overall: 10/10
