"A sequel that actually made some improvement"
Graphics-8/10
- Yes someone must have told Squaresoft about the lame background stages in Tobal No 1. Some one must have also told Squaresoft about their blocky and ugly characters in tobal no 1. Yes finally they dont' look so blocky. The FMV endings actually looked great. Yes to sum it up if someone were to show you this game there is a chance that you might guess that this is the game that is made by the famous squaresoft. But however do note that the ugly characters still looked ugly so maybe they were supposed to look ugly. But those that were supposed to look average or good actually looked better now thanks to the less blocky look that they were given.
Soundeffects/Music-7/10
-Well yes this is another department that has made an improvement. Yes now the game has a much better music that can be finally called Squaresoft. I guess and strongly suspect that this game is released to sort of made it up to the poor players who bought the terrible game called
Tobal No 1.
Gameplay-6/10
Well although the exploration of the dungeons is very interesting and fun until you get killed. Yes I actually like the part which resembles an RPG. But its just too difficult yes that I eventually decided why don't I just go an play a real RPG instead.
As for the 1 on 1 battles I actually beat the game with everyone just to see their FMV endings. Yes it sure helped that they aren't too bad to look. But as for the fighting system I don't know but it just seem badly designed. Its really hard to explain it here but I feel its just not a good fighting system. Also the fact that I keep losing just does not make me want to play this game's 1 on 1 battles for long. But yes they did give the guys more moves like most sequels but hey if you keep losing you wouldn't care about that right ?
Conclusion-The game's graphics and soundtrack is much better than the first. Yes they finally look like they are made by the company they call Squaresoft. While the game's graphics improved they didn't have a good 1 on 1 fighting system. I seriously wonder whether they want to make an action RPG or they want to make a 3D fighter. But as a 3D fighter the fighting system is actually quite terrible. But I have seen much worse ones. But its just not good enough to compete with Namco's fighters.
