"Worst PSX RPG?"

Let me just start out by saying that Shadow Madness has to be the worst RPG for PSX. Well it's the worst RPG I've played for it anyway.

The only thing I can say positive about this game is the storyline. It was nothing special and didn't get good till later on but it's the only comment I can give this game!

First of all the characters looked so awful I could barely stand to look at them. Very bad character designs. The FMV and other graphics were pretty horrible too.

Next complaint is all the useless items. There is so many of them that it's not funny. Oh yeah, you also have extremely limited item storage (I believe it's limited to 30 items).

Third thing is the game is way too easy. I don't think I died more than once. The battle system is pretty damn boring too. I always picked aggressive attacks and they hardly ever missed so what was the point of normal attacks?

This game should've been better considering the competition (Final Fantasy Series, Star Ocean, Lunar, etc...)or made for the N64 which only has a couple RPGs. Better yet not made at all, yeah that's it.

I wouldn't recommend this game for anyone to buy or even rent unless you want to play a pretty crappy game. Luckily I only rented it or I would've wasted even more money on this game. Take my advice and stay away from this game!
