"A game for Captain Tsubasa fans only"

Graphics 9/10
The graphics were good for the time this game was done (1996). The shoots and all the specials are beautifully done. Although, if we compare it now , we would want more quality in the graphics. But the thing that raises the score is the mini-videos as you play story mode.

Sound 7/10
The music is appropiate for each match in the story mode, but when you play VS mode you get the same song over and over. Now the voices and sounds of the special save the game. Now you can hear each character saying the name of his special shoot.

Replay value 7/10
Unless you like to play alone, this game is for you. The game is fun when you want to train a team from scratch. you have weak players and as you train them they get stronger and finally you will get to a point where you can beat the best team ( World All Stars)

Gameplay 8/10
Now you have to be quick, to do each special you only have 3 seconds to do all combination buttons. Of course there is a range from super easy shoots ( -> + X )to the difficult ones ( up+ down+ left + right + X ). Also some shoots require two players to be close or in a certain place of the field.

Fan level 10/10
There are plenty of characters to choose from (Japan, China, Thailand, Sao Paulo, World All Stars, Argentina, France, Italia, RJ7, etc) So for the fan there is all you can get.

Finally, you have to consider the date it was made and the company ( Bandai) we all know that they are not good at doing anime related games except Gundam Battle Master 2.
