"The BEST of the Darkstalkers series and one of the best Fighting Games on PSX."

This was by all means a very intresting game from Capcom. While the original DS game for the PSX was a decent game this is a sold entry in the series and the reason why I am a DS fan in the first place. This is basically a Morbid, Mythical and Gothic (and at times peculiarly sexual) version of Street Fighter. (However it is NOT a copy of it!)

The characters from this dark game vary from the Murderous Austrailian RockandRolling Zombie Lord Raptor, The ''Egyptian God'' Anakaris, The Hindu Dhamphir ''Half Human/Half Vampire'' Bounty Hunter Donovan Baine, The Amazonian Merman Rikuo, The Kung-Fu British Wolfman Jon Talbian, The Half Cat/Half Human Felicia, The Kuang-Shi (Chinese Ghost) Hsien-Ko, The Grim Reaper himself Jedah Dohma, The Queen of the Soul Bee's known as Q-Bee, The Aztec Robot Huitzil, The Romanian Noble Vampire Dimitri Maximov, The Flaming Alien Pyron, Victor ''The Frankenstein'' Gerdenheim, Baby Bonnie ''B.B'' Hood the Bounty Hunter A.K.A ''Deadly Youth'', Bishamon the Cursed Japanese Samurai, and last but not least the Succubbus Sisters Morrigan and Lilith Aensland. And the reasons why they're in it are quite various indeed.

Their stories of course are quite various and even though the background storylines of the characters are not explained well in the game. The game maybe violent but its suprisingly bloodless. (Its probably for the best.) The game is actually more sexual (Such as how Felicia has fur covering her eh..''vital parts''. Morrigan's outfit is a scantily clad outfit which when it comes to the chest it barely covers her breasts. And Lilith who has a younger body than Morrigan is similarily dressed who seems to be begging for a pedophile. Theres also Lord Raptor who hits on Hsien-Ko a young rather well-endowed teenaged zombie girl. And even though Morrigan is hyped as the ''Sexiest DS girl'' yet Felicia, Hsien-Ko and Q-Bee are more well-endowed than her. And Felicia is more scantly clad than her. This is not a complaint mind you but a rather strange observation of irony.)

And while the game may show its dramatic side more than once its really more of a Dark Comedy. (Such as B.B Hood who looks like a Cutesy ''Little Red Riding Hood'' is really a psychotic money-grubbing gun-wielding mercenary.) And PLENTY more as this is quite possibly THE most twisted Fighting game that Capcom has ever made. The game has its flaws (like the rather average-at-best Training Mode.) And the endings were mostly OK, but could've been better. The Gameplay is perfectly fine, most of the music is wonderful. AND its one of the few Capcom 2D fighters in which the flaws in control is surprisingly small.

However whenever your into these ''gothic games'' or Fighting Games or not this is by all means just simply a good game to buy. And is easily the most recomendable game from the DS series.

+ A GREAT cast of characters with great character designs
+ A delicious sense of humor
+ Very good gameplay with wonderful music and nice control.
+ Very well done graphics & art style
- Storyline is awfully inconclusive
- Training Mode is rather average
- It might be too hard for some players to get access to some of the other features in the game
- Last Domesticly released game in the series.
