Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus

"It's still Odd"

Oddworld:Abes Exoddus is an Action/Puzzle game with the main character Abe. This game incorporates a great sense of humor along with challenging gameplay. This game is an immediate sequel so you should play Abe oddysee first. But it honestly just doesn't seem as Odd as it's prequel.Here's what it's about...

Story-9/10
The story in this great.It starts in a company called Soulstorm Brew which is run by Glukkons(bad guys) who are making blind Mudokins work on digging up there ancestors old bones and brewing them into a drink.Thus Abe is back to try and stop it.

Gameplay-9/10
If you played Abes Oddysee then you should know what to expect.Or if you havn't, you have to try and get you Mudokin friends to safety.And to do this you have to use a nifty little system known only as Gamespeak® Gamespeak is pretty much just talking.So over it sounds kinda easy huh?It's not.. this actually is a very hard game to complete.Because you have to worry about traps, Sligs(other bad guy), and mulitple puzzles.A lot of the same spiffy aspects are here still such as possessing, but now you can possess Scrabs, Paramites, and Glukkon(Like you were able to at the end of AO).

Sound-10/10
The sound is as good as ever.Gamespeak has improved in this game by adding a few new lines such as ''All of ya'' and ''Work''. They also got a new voice actor for Abe I suppose because he sounds alot more alive now.There's not really alot of music but from what you do hear it's actually quite good.The sound effects are also great.

Control-6/10
The controls are pretty bad.You have to really get used to them if you plan to survive. Because there are seperate buttons for just about every action.I just wish they would have added an ''action'' button that would have made it a lot easier.

Replayability-7/10
I wouldn't really want to go through this long game again, well at least not anytime soon.The only reason I would ever go through it again is to get all 300 Mudokens.But then again it might be fun for some other people just not for me.

Overall-9/10
This game plays great but they could of added a lot more sinse AO.But it still sounds great and looks great.And they didn't skimp on the gameplay either.I would recommend this game to anyone who played the prequil, or if you like puzzle games but if you don't like puzzle games or havn't play AO then I could only recommend.I give Oddworld:Abes Exoddus a 9/10
