Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey

"Fun every now and then, but not something you'll play everyday."

This game is a simple pinball game, one of four games in a \'\'Pro Pinball\'\' series. While I don\'t know about the others, this provides a decent game of pinball, except it gets boring pretty fast.

It was Christmas, and I got this game as a gift, it was my first game for Playstation, naturally, I was excited, but it turned out this game wouldn\'t be enough to sustain my gameplaying needs, not for very long anyway. I craved variety, and this game only has one table.

Gameplay - 6/10 The controls are pretty easy to pick up and use, so i have no complaints there. Also, the game comes with five difficulty settings, so for any skill level pinball player, it can be fun. Unfortunately, it is a game that can get old quick.

Story - 3/10 Unlike most pinball games, this one has a plot of some sort. It is a very hard to understand plot, as it is a pinball game. You are somehow supposed to build four contraptions, go on four \'\'journeys\'\' (I put it in quotes because you never really leave the table), on those \'\'journeys\' you get crystals, and penetrate the shield of this evil guy, somehow saving the world. It talks about this in the instruction manual, but never in all my time of playing this, have I seen more than one \'\'journey\'\'. That is why I only gave it a 3, It sounds like a super plot for an RPG, but for a pinball game, it just doesn\'t work.

Graphics/Sound - 6/10 The game is in 3-D which is always a plus, and the graphics are pretty good (they better be, it\'s one table!)but the reason I gave this a 6 is becuase the background music can get boring. The sound effects are good, but sometimes it\'s speech, and is hard to understand.

Play Time/Replayability - 4/10 You will most likely, just play this game every once in a while, when you are in the mood for some pinball. It isn\'t a game that will keep you up at night by any extent.

Final Score 5/10 - This game is a decent game for $10, especially if you are into pinball, but the plot is too confusing, and not a good one for pinball. I do enjoy the pinball part of it every now and then, so I recommend that if it ever goes one sale, pick it up.
