"A lost treasure"

Azure Dreams is one of those RPG's that never made it to a lot of gamers' houses. It's sad though. But anyway, the game itself is sort of like Monster Rancher. This game has A LOT of flexibility. It has no linear storyline what so ever. Also, what makes this game more interesting is that YOU control what monsters you use. Intrigued? I bet you are.

Gameplay: Well, this game has a unique battle system. In the ''tower'', you walk in tiles. What I mean is, you can walk one space at a time, in 8 directions. So, when you move, your monster (if you have one out), will move a space as well. Also, when you move a space, so will an enemy. X is to attack, and you can do mix attacks with your familiar monsters. Though the gameplay is unique. it can become boring after a while. The game is LONG. It may take up to 80+ hours. The reason is because your main character, without proper equipment, will get knocked out in the higher levels of the tower. So, in order to move higher, you need better equipment and stronger monsters.
Gameplay: 7

Story: This game's story is unique as well. You are a young lad who is eager to go into the mysterious tower filled with monsters to get treasure and monster eggs so you and your family can survive. A bit weird, but its a break from those save the world plots. Also, you can get girls to like you (guys). Isn't that nice? But, this may not be so nice to girl gamers. If only they had a character selection...
Story: 8.5

Graphics and Sound: The graphics on this game is a little blurry. Especially when the camera is up close. It's not perfect, but it looks like an RPG from the SNES, but a better version. Also, the sound and music are quite decent. It kind of sounds like ''Egyptian'' music, but a bit more hyper. In any case, this game is decent in this department.
Graphics and Sounds: 7.5

Replay Value: This game is LONG. People may not want to play it again. But beside the fact, there is so much flexibility and random opportunities that each time you make a new game, your monster collection might change. Its so much fun, and you get to design your house, in any way. Too much stuff. Definite Plus.
Reply Value: 8

Conclusion: Never rent. That's right, it is too long to rent. Plus, I bet you would like this game. Get this, a lot of quests, unique monsters, and customize options makes this game great. BUY!
