"here the review for WWF Attitude.... whoops I mean, ECW hardcore Revolution"

When i went to get this game i thought, cool a wrestling game thats not WWF or WCW. So i picked up Harcore Revolution and took it home. When i popped it into the playstation i was greeted with a nice opening move with a bunch of characters doing their moves with a ECW logo overtop of it.
Then i moved on to the menu. it was had lots of different game modes like vs, tag team, pay-per-view and the great create-a-wrestler. I chose a vs. fight between me (some wierdo thats supposed to be some sort of big brawney nerd with glasses) and some big fat dude with a mustache. so then i got to the opening sequences, and saw the two strut their stuff down the runway. Then came the fighting. I looked and thoght (oh, i must have put the WWF attitude disc in there cuz' that's what im seeing!!!) and it opened the same way that attitude did, with a close up of the character, then they say a few words, then it switches to the other, then the fight begins, and im greeted with characters that are exactly... i mean exactly like in WWF attitude. they use HHH's pedigree and call it a double arm face buster!!!!! it was terrible. then they use the stone cold stunner and call it some other stupid name.
I was appalled. There was no change in gameplay what-so-ever. Even the voice of the referee was exactly the same. the only thing i found different was the inclusion of the characters signature moves, and the addition of a barbed wire cage match. Thats about it. What happened to the over the top action I've come to expect from ECW on TV? Where are the huge table slams? Or the sweet ladder moves????? where???? This really annoyed me. It is very evident that this game is just a sorry excuse to put out another wrestling game that tons of people will buy.
Even the create a wrestler part was the same, just with some different shirts and thats about it. I was expecting something new, but nothing was there.

Now to the ratings

Graphics:6 -exactly like WWF Attitude's in every way, down to the animations and the stance the wrestlers take.

Sound:6- still exactly like WWF Attitude's in every way, with the same referee voice and all of the signature voices and music

Control:8 -Still exactly like Attitude, with easy button combinations and a help menu if you forget the moves.

Gameplay:3- nothing different from Attitude- Still could be fun to someone who has never played attitude

Replay:5-if youve out played attitude, youve out played this

overall: 3- if you dont own attitude and you love ECW and dont like WWF, this might be a choice for you. But if you're a WWF lover like alot of people, go get attitude and leave this game alone. for ECW fans only!!! and also go buy Syphon Filter, cuz it is the best game ever :)
