"Good game for all people of all ages."

Frogger is an ancient game, which was made years ago before I even started playing video-games, before all games were 3-D and voice-acted, before games were so close to reality that it really made you think..... That is about how old Frogger is, and to say the least, it most definitely holds up to its name. Pretty much what the game is, the player assuming the role of a cool little frog who has to get across streets and stuff and you control him. For a more thorough explanation, read on.

Graphics- Okay.
Frogger is a game that I wouldn't feel comfortable rating mainly on graphics. It comes from its own era of gaming, so what do we have its graphics to compare to now, Final Fantasy X? Xenosaga? Nope, graphics are a strong foundation of a game, but in no way, shape, or form do they make a game good or bad. They only set the atmosphere for the game, and for this particular case, I think the graphics fit it well. I can't really think of any other game with similar graphics to base it on, but if I had to, I would say 'Arcade Graphics of the mid-late 90's.'

Music- Okay.
Okay, the music is about standard, too, but to me that has even less pertinence in a game that the graphics do. Think about it, you can turn off the sound on a TV, but you can't really turn off the graphics or the game play, you can't turn off the re-play ability. The music is just something to keep you going, and it does that well. The makers blended in a menagerie of happy, up-beat tunes to keep you in a good mood and to keep you from straying from the game and doing something else. The music is catchy, and for the record, I would never play without sound, but I really don't think it's that important in a game.

Gameplay- Good.
The gameplay is a lot of fun, be be warned, you should never play a game like this for more than about 30 minutes. It gets addicting and if you keep playing, you'll beat the whole game the first time you get it. What makes it fun is the competition. What you have to do is guide the frog across dangerous paths, like traffic and stuff like that. If you have ever been on a road and a frog or another kind of animal comes out, do you just keep on going? Well the lunatics in this game do! You have to jump in directions moving through the gaps in traffic without being hit. It can be tough, but it is a good bit of fun.

Re-Play Ability-
This is a very re-playable game. The different levels and tasks to complete make it a challenge, and each time you do it, you get better. All of the levels are fairly similar, so if you played it once through, and then one other time right after that, it would just be twice as long of a game to beat. But yes, the re-play ability is through the roof.

Buy/Rent-
If you are bored, then don't hesitate to get this one. I am sure it is only about $10.00 in stores now, and there are other different versions of it, so revive an arcade classic in your Playstation and buy or rent this game today. Oh, I forgot to mention- It also makes a good gift for kids.
