"Very very fun"

The first time i played this was from a free demo from a magazine. As soon as i played it, it became one of those demos that you play 5 or 6 times in a row because you enjoyed it so much. There was hardly any news from magazines and so i kinda forgot about it!

Then earlier this year i was in my local games shop and was looking through the 2nd hand section and i saw it! For 5 pounds. So i bought it there and then.

Took it home, had a quick read of the manual (there really is no need to) and turned it on. The memories came flooding back: i was in the joy zone!

To those who don't know about this game, the rules are simple.
The game is split into 24 mini-games which involve you having to do something (its kinda like Mario Party style difficulty).
The first level is like Parappa the Rapper where you dance by pressing the correct buttons.
The second level is tapping X as quickly as possible. And it goes on from there. How does it play though!

In theory, it shouldn't work, but it does. Why? Because it hooks you in. You HAVE to complete the level even after you have just died for the 17th time. There are a lot of levels like this. For example, there is another P the R style game which is so hard i hadn't progressed for a day (and this was after constant playing!).
The graphics are ok and they don't do any harm to the game itself. The sound and music are great. The lead character does shout HUWEIGH! rather too much though.

But whats the story? ready? ok then, its your grandma's birthday and she decides to have a party. However, on this 'normal' day, 4 mambers of the family get5 involved in quite simply: 'stupid' storylines ranging from shooting spaceships to buying from a shop!

Overall, what appeals about this game is that it won't let you go until you see that final ending sequence. One extra nice feature is being able to play any game of your choosing once the game is completed.
However, there are problems. Some of the later games are exactly the same as earlier ones but in a different locations. This is obvious and lazy of the creators.
My other complaint is that the game suggests that there is a sequel. Where?

Final score 8/10.
