Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
Review by Funk Punk
"I was wondering when this game was coming to Playstation."
Finally, Marvel vs Capcom has come to the Playstation with a few drawbacks. Because of this everyone giving the game a bad rep. Well, I for one am thankful the game came to the station, I didn't think Capcom was gonna do it. I hope after reading my review, those people will reconsider.
Graphics/9: Very nice, the game look almost identical the arcade except for a few lost polygons and pixelzation. But nothing to cry about.
Music&Sound/10: The music can be heard loud and clear. Some of the tunes aren't that bad. As for sound, if you heard it on the arcade you'll heard it here too.
Story/9: Onslaught ( a evil Professer X in a wicked-looking Magneto suit) is going to destory all mankind. But not before he answers to the heroes of the Marvel Comics and Capcom legends. Cool, but it been done with the first two games.
Gameplay/10: O.K, we all know you can't tag team thanks the limited RAM. But why does that make the game any less fun? Capcom has inculded four mode of play to replace the what they left out, Arcade, Vs., Training, and Crossover. Arcade is the one-player game where you battle to get your chance at Onslaught. Vs. is the two player game of course. Training is really fun cause you get to practice on your combos and super moves. Crossover is sort of like tag team, only instead of swithing characters, you and your partner use preform a special attack together. There also a art gallery, helper characters, and hidden characters as well. With all this, who needs tag team to make this a good game.
Marvel vs Capcom may not be exactly a perfect arcade port. But if your your as thankful as me, you'll be glad the game came to Playstation. Now, if you'll excuse me, me and Megaman got some punches to throw.
