Fear Effect

"Stunning Visuals.....Stuninng Game......"

Fear Effect......a title only to mention this ''new'' Blood System that measures fear instead blood and attacks...no health power-ups so the only way to heal is to kill and take ammo, or solve puzzles. In a way that Fear system is just the same blood system this time just covered up with no power ups just killing. Although it does have some effect, like when you steathfully creep by someone and they see you...and shoot bam you take more damage than you would guns blazing!

Gameplay: There is one word for control HORRIBLE...it's forgivable because the camera angles are decent. Think of getting the clunkiness of Tomb Raider and the controls of Resident Evil...and on top of that there is no pausing to access inventory. And on top of that, DYING IS THE KEY TO LEARNING!! So you gie too much sitting and waiting for 30 seconds to load! It would have been better if dying was hard to do.....or like Soul REAVER!!

Graphics: Perhaps where the game shines! They get excellent anime style poly characters and place them over FMV! Not PRERENDERED Backgrounds FMV!!! Lots of people said this was not possible...it wasn't? Although that's what makes the game a hefty 4 discs. AHH!!!

Story: I don't wanna spoil anything.....because the story plays like a whole movie infact there is only four major locations in the game that this whole thing takes place in....Let's just say Jin isn't what he really is: a scared little wimp.

Replay: Sadly....The Five endings are easily accessed (5 if you play HARD) And they really weren't worth it...but it's wierd because everything in the game isn't tedious like RESIDENT EVIL....I had to play the game twice because I messed up on Disc 3....But i didn't get annoyed....The Puzzles fit in with everything!

Overall: Seyfer Soul says that this game is a rent....but if you cant finish....rent again...or buy...It would probably be a buy because of how interesting it was.....Perhaps the most graphically astounding thing since FF8's FMV! DYING A LOT IT THE KEY REMEMBER! YOU LEARN FROM YOUR FEARS! EMBRACE THE FEAR OF DEATH!
