Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Heh JoJo wierd fighting..its way to under rated..alot of people dont even know what it is..I played it for dreamcast...I like to 2d fighting games so I tried it and it came out perfect.heres my review.

Graphics: 10/10
Has to be the best part.. I like how everything has a cel shaded kinda look to it. Perfect for this kind of game..from the manga they did a very good job on this.^^

Controls: 10
You can have up to 10 bars on your super gauge...4 buttons for this game. Weak Attack, Medium Attack, Heavy Attack and Stand Button. Stand Button brings out your stand if that character has an active stand. Otherwise it's another attack button....the other attack buttons are self explainitory.

Gameplay: 9
You can have up to 10 bars on your super gauge. When you have your stand(psychic power with a form)out you can do stand combos which can link into special moves. There are special moves that can only be done with your stand out. Also special moves are more stronger with your stand out. If you block with your stand too much you'll get a stand crush(which is like guard crush from sfa3). Everybody's special moves are from the manga. Super story mode has you fighting against the ''bad guys'' in vs mode and minigames. Some of the minigames are like shenmue's quicktime events and pseudo-fighting games... Super story mode follows the story perfectly(some of the dialouge is changed though). Almost all the characters are in it. In super story mode you can earn points to unlock secret characters you can play with in arcade/vs mode and you can unlock secret features...some character moves are overpowered though. Jotarou's Putsun-Ora move can do 95% damage on certain characters and it only takes 1 bar...the game has ''alpha counters'' and you can push away your opponent when you're blocking against someone.

Audio: 10
All the voices are great. The ''hero's'' themes in the game are noticeable and get stuck in my head...everybody's themes fit the character.The music is good for this it fits in great with this wierd game.

Play Again?: 7
You can earn more points in super story mode to unlock all the secret features in the game. Some levels in super story mode have multiple paths. There isn't much to do after that.(What game doesnt get boring?)

Overall: 9
I like the game since it follows the story perfectly. Gameplay is good when you get used to it. Maybe I liked it more because I read the manga..you should try it very good fighting game.Buy or Rent definantly a buy..The dreamcast version is much better in my opinion though.
