Review by SailorMoonBoy

"Do you like Sailor Moon? Well, this is a fighting game for you!!"

Well, I'm here to do my first review on one of my Favorite games: Sailor Moon Super S for the PSX! If you're a die-hard SM fan, then you should difinately try this. Non-fans will find this review helpful.

Gameplay- Well, the gameplay has slower reactions compared to some games such as Tekken or Street Fighter. But once you get used to it, it's wonderful! You even have a mode where you only press two buttons to do an attack (for use if you can't pull it off regularly)! Maybe the gameplay is where this title lacks, because sometimes you may get frustrated at it. And try to beat Sailor Uranus even on easy mode!!
Score: 7/10

Story- I don't think this really has a story. The senshi are basically trying to see who is the best :)! You get to choose from 6 senshi in 1 player mode, and 2 player mode has 10 senshi to choose from!
Score: 6/10

Graphics/Sound- My gosh! Where do I start here??? AT THE BEGINNING! The opening FMV is truly SPECTACULAR! It shows each scout doing their original moves. They actually look very realistic! And it plays the oh-so-wonderful Moonlight Densetsu theme during the movie sequence. The actual senshi in the game could have been better but I think they are still very good! The backgrounds are GORGEOUS, and the sounds add on to it! You can even pop the game in the computer and listen to the audio tracks!
Score: 9/10

Replay Value- Okay, this is a tough one. Sailor Uranus, who is the last senshi to battle, is truly HARD. I HARDLY could beat him after two times in EASY mode. You might want to beat the game with each character because you just might get a little suprise at the title screen (hint hint). What is sooo fun is playing it over and over with a friend!
Score: 6/10

Overall Score: 8

Should you buy it? Well, if you are a sailor moon fan then you'll probably want to. You might still want to rent it first though. And if you aren't a fan, then you probably won't get the whole concept, but try renting it! And that's all I have to say about that.
