Front Mission 3
Review by Racheal
"A real-time,realistic simulation RPG...."
Front Mission 3:
''And because not nearly enough recent RPGs feature two different main characters,Front Mission 3 offers players the choice of two main characters, each with their own adventure.Together, the two quests will span over 1OO missions, ranging from standard <Kill All Enemies> skirmishes to desperate escape from enemy ambushes.Your battle prowess is rated after each level;consistently acheiving the highest grade(Platinum) will open up the secret missions necessary to see every single scenario. All the elements are in place for a solid and enjoyable strategy RPG.''-Game Promotion banner
Like its cousins,Front Mission 3 is a beautifully rendered game with high quality graphics and cd quality music. The Wanzers have been redone and touched up to look real and dangerous. The plot is basically the same as its prequels but maintains its own originality as one of the better games made by Squaresoft. You can say its like an RPG but with realistic concepts like wanzer mobility dynamics and combat capability. There are also new weapons created specially for this game. The enemies you face are rather creative and intelligent in combat as the game`s artificial intelligence algorithm has been tweaked up a bit so expect
serious damage if you are careless. The enemies also have their own personality which changes with the storyline you are taking.
Playability
FronMission3 uses a simple control system that new players can and will understand quickly.
Replay Value
It has two main storylines and each story is unique in which the enemy interact with the overall characters.Definitely worth playing the game
again and again.
Graphics
High quality though could have been better. The detailed of each Wanzer is also impressive and realistic. The games battle zones need some work as well but in all a great game.
Sound
CD quality standard for all the music. The combat music is also not the same boring standard of simulation games found but has its own style and tempo and does not give the player a headache. The music also sounds cool when played on a sound system.A great potential if Squaresoft would market it as a CD music album.I certainly would buy it.
