This is a great game!! I'm not kidding, it really is. I never thought a Playstation game could be so enjoyable. I got it at the used games store (because I had a very little amount of money left) so I expected a bad game, but this proved me wrong. Okay, on to the review.

Graphics: 9/10
The cars are so cool. They really are. I looked at the paint jobs and was like WHOA!!!! It was radical. The cars are so good they almost look like real life (yes on a Playstation One game!!!) There was also detail (I mean if you keep driving against the barrier your pain will get scraped off your car!) Also the actual paint on the cars was real, they had sponsors and everything. And the roads just blew my mind apart. They were so real. But the reason this gets a 9 instead of a 10 was because of the crowd, or rather the lack. There was no crowd, just a lot of flat painted dots that were supposed to be the heads.

Sound: 10/10
The sound was great. The engines can ROAR!!! And when your car spins out you hear a very, very, VERY loud screeching sound that sounds like it does in real life. Crashes also almost made me JUMP because the sound scared me! As for the music it was not that good but still the car sounds are really good, so this still gets a 10.

Gameplay: 9/10
This doesn't get a ten because the game is HARD. No matter how hard I press down X it is like I can't go fast enough to beat the competition. And its like almost impossible to not crash into walls because turning is so tricky. But the computer cars are EVIL!!!!! They can magically go 200 MPH and stay in the middle of the road, not crashing! That's unfair! But I liked that if you find the control too hard, you can go into a pit stop and adjust everything from how your wheels turn to the amount of fuel you have. And there are also many physics stuff that you can use to help me, like wind drift. No, I don't understand it either. Anyway, if you ever win a race purely on your skills I have to say you must be the best player ever.

Replay: 5/10
Um, you can redo races and tournaments to get first place in everything and get unlockables, or you can create your own car, but it's not really that fun. Since it's there, this gets a 5.

Overall: 9/10
Buy this game if you're a racing fan, it's cool. Even if your not you still might wanna.
