Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

""The Unknown is Quite Strange""
Just stunning! Truly astonishing how the PlayStation engineers the art of 2D! PlayStation is known to be among the weakest supporting machines for 2D Fighters, yet Capcom has triumphed to deliver a solid Fighter. Capcom has presented Marvel Vs. Capcom for the PlayStation, and its speed was just a slump of garbage. Capcom has outdone themselves with a hasty Fighter. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is just that, bizarre. What is a famous comic book in Japan, has gracefully landed onto the arcades then home consoles. Strange in terms of storyline and Gameplay, although a magnificent Fighter for the limited capabilities of the PlayStation. I praised Capcom for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's outrageous and tight Gameplay. The company achieves what they honorably have done for generations, building celestial Fighting Games.
GAMEPLAY: 8/10
The arcade is entirely compelling, running on lighting fast Gameplay. Speed on the arcade is outstanding, just full of glamourous shine. Viewing the anime-like Gameplay is a delightful treat. Although the PlayStation port doesn't bundle as much animation as the arcade, the electric speed is quite identical to the arcade version. The Gameplay is full of dashing fury. At the Player's disposal is a huge cast of characters, ranging from family members to rivals. Each character has their own signature moves. A new innovation for the fighting game is a sequence called a ''Stance.'' Stance is a transformation into a super combatant. Strength soars, enhanced blocking scheme, additional moves, and absorption of damage is the effects of the Stance. There is a Stance meter, if the player's challenger attacks the player while on Stance, a part of the bar will dissolve. Once the meter is empty , the player will be forced into a disarmed state, and the opponent will take advantage of the character's lassitude. Besides the Stance, the basics of chained combos and special moves are as any other Fighter. The fighting can get into insane portions, graphically and Gameplay wise. This is your regular fighting engine with an additional meter for Stance.
There are modes ranging from Normal and Versus. But a Story Mode has depth. Dialogue and a story backups each character. Mainly the stories are senseless battles to settle every dispute or query. Fighters have the same basics of throwing fists rather than to work things out with words. There are other mini-games too, a classical favorite is the Shooting Mode, where the characters need precision to successfully demolish targets.
In the end the fighting is just wild. The speed adds extreme intensity like the arcade. Super attacks are just insane, packed with utterly massive animation. Sometimes the fighting can get out of hand with the dazzling paste. Veterans for fighting games will be pleased and have no time to gain the control and pummel the computer down. Characters have bizarre moves, as with sexually appealing gestures. Superbly, the Gameplay is overwhelming, but the Al is predictable after hours of solid Gameplay. This Fighter has a long life ahead. Good going Capcom!
GRAPHICS: 8/10
The arcade was just madness, the bright animation flowed with an extra fancy acceleration. I marvel the paste for the PlayStation, it resembles anime! Looking at the PlayStation port, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure keeps the vibe of being an animated fighting scene. Several moves are spectacular as the eye-candy can get. The Stances for characters are original as some women tend to share a bit nudity. Graphics for the blasting firepower characters produce have brilliant horsepower. At each moment I felt I was inside a lush anime, an anime where I gained control over the cast. Colors are vibrantly exquisite, characters are just full of life. Guilty Gears, a fast and profound fighter, has met its match with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. A Fighter in glamourous, vibrant animation.
MUSIC/SOUND: 6/10
Generally the music is retro Pop. Motivation for pounding each other's brains was lacking. The Pop music really was a mentally distracting flaw. The music must be killed! Punk music is my personal blend to music, and this Pop is just a minor slashing of guitars. If Capcom decided to let REAL bands play rough drums, bass, and guitars, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure would have rocked. While playing, I found my CD player's volume maxed, and the television's volume at zero. Pop as with Techno must go, Punk or Metal must play for music in Fighting Games! Someone hear this cry, Capcom, Namco, and other companies who craft sweet Fighters!
Sounds are fresh and each characters has their own clamors, or victory roar. Many moves have special and good effects. Explosions and Stances have their impressive sounds. Each characters has their own personal effects. The sound effects are excellent.
STORY: 5/10
A famous comic book in Japan, but not a huge hit in the writing or story area. Maybe the translation from Japanese to English can never be accomplished in terms of greatness. The closest thing I've seen for a great translation is Metal Gear Solid. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure revolves around siblings journeying to the East in search for someone. The cast journeys to the Far East to overcome against oncoming challenges. The Story Mode helps understand each character's origin. During the dialogue, boredom frequently roamed around, my fingers savagely tapped the buttons to skip the dialogue. Poorly written and tasteless direction for a script.
CONTROLS: 10/10
Every Fighting Game must bear responsive controls, and like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, it makes a Fighting Game count. Controls are responsive and behave as the player relentlessly jabs the buttons. There are three basic attacks, very similar to Capcom's biggest franchise, Street Fighter. There is a Strong, Medium, and Weak attack. Then the Stance are activated by simultaneously pressing buttons. Stances seem awkward at first, but they easily are the best weapon to smoke the opponent into oblivion. Controls are a polished feature.
REPLAY/OVERALL: 7/10
Story Mode presents mini-games from the comic book. The Story Mode explains the storyline behind all characters. Players will advance to play Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for the story, but many players will just activate the game for the furious fighting. The mini-games lose life once they are conquered. Overall Jojo's Bizarre Adventure presents a smashing Fighter, and a new feature, Stance. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a fun game, full of exuberance. Avid fighting fans should simply pick this one up. Replay Value has an arousing high length. However, like all Fighters, once a more high-tech Fighter is released, the addiction for the older Fighter dies out. An example, after playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast I rarely returned to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
