Revelations: Persona

"One of the worst games in the universe. Ew."

I heard about this game and the concept actually sounded pretty cool. Different graphics, moderen setting, and a different approach to RPG's all toghether. It reminded me of Earthbound when I saw the screenshots. I also realised that the Megami Tensei sereis was very popular in Japan, rivaling even Final Fantasy. Usually they know RPG's. Well not this time.

Sound: 3/10

There really isn't that much music in this game only weird beeps and stuff. When scrolling through the dialog, an eextremly annoying sound will be heard, and that doesn't help this category's rating either. I kinda like the battle themes though which is the only reason this category didn't plumet to a 1 rating.

Graphics: 2/10

The graphics consist of crappy FMV, a little bit of animé, characters that float around when they walk, and dungeons that are so repetitive you get lost in a second. C'mon!!! Crono Trigger looked better than this! Almost all SNES games did. You won't enjoy looking at this game.

Story: 4/10

Different story, with annoying characters. The personalities of the charachters, are not really brought out but you can kinda notice that Altus tried to. Crappy dialog in a pretty good story, made me come to the decision on this one.

Gameplay: 1/10

The dungeons are so frickin' repetitive you'll get lost pretty easy. As you may know, it is not fun getting lost in an RPG. You wander around the dungeons in first person view, which makes that task a little easier to accomplish. Battles suck too. Gameplay that makes me want to crack this CD. I should have bought Syphon Filter...

Replay Value: 2/10

When you're done you'll be happy as you won't have to sit through this horrible RPG any longer. Not really any replay value here at all, unless you really like it you might play it a little more. You may also need a mental examination.

Overall: 2/10

Really Bad game. You might like this kind of thing and if you are thinking of buying it, RENT IT FIRST. Don't buy it like an idiot like me. The only reason I played into this a little bit was to find out more of the story. The story is average so if you have absolutly nothing else to do, you might have to resort to this peice if crap.
