"Square's done it AGAIN!"

Squaresoft has done it again. They made a game that was expected to be one of the greatest.. into a game that looks like it was created in two months.

I admit, I liked the game.. it's very addicting, but several aspects.. just blew me away, the MP system. You now you only get one main character.. an NPC character (Which you can't re-equip or do anything else too) and a pet or a golem. this is just pathetic. I loved the fact that you could switch between your three characters in the earlier SD's.. but now.. you can't, which is pretty sad. And the pet/Golem system.. is okay.. but no one else can play those characters.. which is upsetting.

Another thing which upset me a lot was the level system. The jewels and crap.. that's just stupid, After getting my first pet, the Rabite, I went out to level him. it took me two hours to get him to grab a couple of those stupid jewels to go up one level. While others may like it for the fact that you can hog all the exp for the character that's going to be in the game the whole time (the main character), I don't I hate it, it's disturbing.

The graphics on the game are top-notch.. and the movies (like Gaeus and Trent talking) Are great.. they flow seamlessly with the normal background and animations.
And the sound, ohhhh boy, I LOVE the music, the boss music is the greatest I've heard in awhile.

Overall this game is okay.. and it has a high replay value which I like.. I'd go out and buy this game only if you're ready to get pissed off because your other two characters are such a low level they get killed in one shot by a boss.
Otherwise.. Rent it first..
