Rat Attack!
Review by Robbie Kennedy
"Better than Tom and Jerry"
This game is quite a unique game in that it is Tom and Jerry, but without Tom, or Jerry. And Tom is a good guy and Jerry is evil. You play as a cat, of which there are about six to select to begin with, with two that you can unlock.
Each cat has it's own unique abilities, for example, one has a gun whilst another may be an expert in Martial Arts. And you don't just get male cats, the female cats are getting into the melee as well.
The story is, maniac rats are trying to take over the world from space with cheese rays. The cats have to stop the rats from this, but to do that, they have to fight through dogs, rats and other obstacles.
The game is quite simple to play, the controls are easy to learn, and there are plenty of tutorials whenever you need one. You don't kill the rats or dogs, you just knock them out. When they are knocked out, you have to use the creature trap to trap them, then they are teleported to the pound. You have to teleport a certain amount per level if you wish to advance levels.
There are a good amount of levels in this game, at least nine. You have to unlock each one apart from the first one though. And there is a final bit at the end of each level with a boss. One might have a big dog, whilst the other sees you fighting your way through a circus. There is tons of imagination in this game, and it is evident that the designers were having a good time whilst making it.
It has great replay value, because of the amount of characters. As they all have different skills, you have to use different strategies whilst playing as them, after all, the kung fu cat does not have a gun so you are going to have to take that into account.
I recommend that you get this game if you can find it. It is a great buy, with a lot of replay value in it. And it is a great fighting and shooting game, with lots of puzzles scattered throughout. It is very hard to find this game though, so I recommend that you try E-Bay or Amazon, and if that does not help, go to your local games provider and ask them if they know anything about it.
