"Saturn BOMBAA!"

Introduction

Hudson's most famous franchise without a doubt, is Bomberman. Saturn Bomberman is the first Bomberman game that I have played. It is the game that made me fall in love with the Bomberman series.

Story: 6/10

The story is very simple. Your main character is the cute little badass Bomberman who can blow some serious stuffs up with his mighty bomb. Bomberman, while doing his usual patrol, noticed something. The crystals that held the terrible monster Crator in the Crystal Tower were missing, and so was Crator! Bomberman then receives a message saying Mr. Meanie has released Crator, and is using his powers to destroy the world! Bomberman must now take up the duty of saving the world from destruction.

Gameplay: 10/10

Gameplay is usually the most fun aspect of Bomberman. You can set bombs vertically and horizontally. You get various power-ups to become more powerful. There are a total of 8 power-ups, which are Heart, Flame, Bomb, Skate, Kick, Power Glove, Remote, and Chain. Heart allows you to survive hits. Flame increases the length of your firepower. Bomb increases the number of bomb you can have. Kick allows you kick a planted bomb in a straight line. Power Glove allows you to pick up and throw a planted bomb. Remote allows you to detonate a bomb whenever you want. Chain allows you to lay down several bombs at once.

In this game, you will find several Dinosaur eggs lying around. There are a total of 5 Dinosaur eggs, which are Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Pink. Purple Dinosaur has the ability to emit ultrasonic waves to blow up bombs and reveal contents in soft blocks. Blue Dinosaur has the ability to kick bombs. Green Dinosaur has the ability to sprint very fast. Yellow Dinosaur has the ability to scare opponents for a few seconds with it's roar. Pink Dinosaur has the ability to jump over blocks. All in all, each of them has their own unique abilities that will prove useful to you in your quest.

Saturn Bomberman has 3 modes to play through which are Story mode, Battle mode, and Master mode. Story mode lets you play through single player. Battle mode supports up to 10 player. You can play with either computers or with your friends. Master mode is a challenge in which the player races to finish a series of levels.

Graphics: 10/10

The graphics are great. Everything is in 2D and they are very beautiful.

Sound/Musics: 9/10

I really love the musics. Each map has different background music. Sound effects are clear, too.

Replay Value: 10/10

After completing the single player, you can challenge Master mode, or play Battle Mode. Battle Mode is even better when playing with friends or families!

Overall: 9/10

Saturn Bomberman is one of the best Bomberman game out there. If you are a fan of the series, definitely buy this!
