"Is there any better mech simulator?"

Another Sega classic that is one of the best Saturn games out there. The success on Japan was big, but in the USA and Europe, the game was a failure and that's too bad. This game is really good, and the surprising point was that this game was released on the center of the Saturn beginning, then it would have to be famous, but it wasn't, pity because this game is a need to every Saturn owner over the World.

Graphics: 7/10

Well... a Saturn game never has good graphics, exception to Last Bronx, Sonic R and Fighters Megamix, so I think it's a honor giving 7 to this graphics. On the time the game was released, the graphics were really good, yeah, but on today's ranking I can't put better than I had put, sorry for all who are against me. The menus are stylish and you will like them. Also, it's nice the way the mech loses its armor when it is close to death.

Game Play: 10/10

This game's arcade had the perfect gameplay. Very cool settings for the arcade stick, and attack buttons. It makes you really feel like some important tester on some important experience on machines. Let's talk about the Saturn. The difficult is right and the controllers, of course, can't be even near, as good as the arcade. But it is well though. Also, you will need some new tactics and technique to beat Z-Gradt. But, remember, you'll have to get to him first...

Story:10/10

Very original, without a shadow of a doubt. It's very nice the way you can imagine the moon base. This story is very good, one of the best you've ever seen. Also, it isn't forgettable that the way the characters have the story is good. Just one more question... is Z-Gradt the only of the sentinels of the moon guard base? The story says ''sentinels'' but it's obvious that the only one that is is Z-Gradt.

Audio:9/10

Good overall audio. The computer-made songs are very nice, not repetitive and the effects are good. The endings have so many different songs. The effects are good and close to real mech battle effects. The songs may be slow and light or fast and heavy, depending of the character. The option that allows you to listen to all the songs and effects of all characters (separate from each other) is good enough to the people who thinks the video games songs are important and like them to be listened separately, like me.

Video: 10/10

The videos are cool. The way the character goes along the water when you choose them on simulation, or the way they fly by the stars when you choose them within the real fight zone. The movie after you beat Z-Gradt is great too. The intro is very nice, it shows us the mechs and their code-names, including the attacks, there are demo battles and a help section with the commands being shown by the screen.

Replay ability:9/10

Believe me, you won't play this game too many time once, but you'll play it almost every time you play Saturn, whatever games you have to play too. It isn't easy to forget this game. And you'll have to train a bit to beat the game, it's very hard when you get to the real battle section.

Buy or Rent?

Buy. As I said, you won't play this game about 1 consecutive hour, but you'll play it whenever you have the chance of playing Saturn. The game isn't repetitive and it's nice to perfect your battling techniques. Each mech has it own strength, resistance and speed. Why don't you try to know the stronger, the faster and the most resistant? It would be a great match.

To finish:9/10

Thanks to the Saturn CD Demo Number 3 for having a demo of this game! I played it, I loved it and I still think that it's very cool! The game was a good surprise for me, really good. The graphics are above the average Saturn and the rest is truly cool. You have a Saturn? You have this game!
