Virtua Cop

"Got Saturn? Got light gun? Got two bucks? GET THIS AWESOME GAME!!!"

Virtua Cop is an excellent but simple fighter. What you see in it is not only one of the best shooters to date, but is also very cool, because you shoot people, not zombies or aliens(unlike SOME shooting games, but not all of course)! Plus, at FuncoLand, this game is only $2, and let me tell you, that's enough for almost any game. But don't get haunted by the price, even if this game was 20-40 bucks I would still give it the same rating! Anyways, on with the review...

Graphics: 9
What can I say? It pushes the Saturn to the limit! The Saturn is if you don't know, better looking than the PSX, so you have no problem there. The animation is fluid, like when the enemies die *drool* oh need I say more? The stages are very nice and detailed, and you won't see many anti-aliasing problems either. The shooting effects are really cool too. I think you get the picture of what I'm talking about here.

Sound: 8
Just like any other rail-shooting game. BANG BANG! and AHHHH!!! are the main sounds you will hear in this game, but are very well done. No sound collisions, just pure, full on sound(like any other CD quality).

Story: 5
Not special. But SHOOT THOSE TERRORISTS! 2 cops out to fight the mob. Short game, but that's okay, it doesn't matter AT ALL. Oh, look! A terrorist! BANG!!! Ah, that felt good didn't it? Look, a hampster! BANG!!! Look, a badger! BANG!!!

Gameplay: 9
BANG BANG BANG!(Am I saying bang too much?) Is the gameplay. But wait! Don't stop reading! This BANG of a game is excellent...it has a good difficulty, and the weapons you get are pretty cool. It isn't the longest game, but there are always difficulty level settings if you think you're some sharpshooter! So go ahead, SHOOT THEM!

Rent or Buy?
Renting this would be stupid because you would spend about 5 dollars to rent it when you would spend 2 dollars to buy it! 2 BUCKS? YEAH!!!!
