Review by Mr.Bond

"A very cool arcadey shooter!"

Okay, In my opinion, this game (and Virtua Fighter) was the best game for Sega's short lived Saturn. I first played this at my friend's house, and fell in love with it. '' Oh, hi Mr.Bond.'' Me: ''Get out of my way! Where's Virtua Fighter?'' Sighhh... Those were the days. Now, on to the review!

Graphics: neight/10 I couldn't decide on which score to give the graphics! The cutscenes are worthy of a 9, but the game's graphics are O-kay, so they are worthy of an eight. I know, I'll review each, then come up with a final grade!

Cutscenes: 9/10 These are AWESOME! they have very cool animations like the car crashing into boxes. Again, very cool.

Gameplay graphics: 8/10 These are cool too. Buildings and animations are very detailed. The screen having a ''hole''
in it when you get hit was a very nice touch. But as good as they were, they were only Saturn graphics which occasionally had jaggies.

Final Grapihcs Score: 9/10 Besides having some jaggies, (you know, pixelated. If you don't know what pixelated is, get out a Dictionary) the cutscenes and game graphics are very cool.

Gameplay: 10/10 This game plays like all Arcadey shooters.
The computer stops you in one place, until you kill all of the enemies in that spot. aiming is all right. I was pretty
good with the controller, I still have never used a light gun for that system. The D-pad worked good.(I had never played a FPS shooter with a joystick, so I didn't know any other way. In this, like in most arcade FPS shooters, you start out with a default gun (in this, it's a revolver) with infinite ammo, and as you progress in the levels, you get upgrades with finite ammo. (like shotgun, magnum, and automatic. I love mowing down bad dudes with it.) Enemy AI is all right, but in most shooters, some of them are pretty dumb. Each level has different enemies, and a boss. The bosses are each moderately difficult, depending on which level you're on. By the way, you get to choose three levels. Easy,(Damn, I forget the second level of difficulty.)and Expert. Expert is pretty hard, with enemies and those stupid hostages. I mean, they just crouch there right in my line of fire saying '' Please, don't shoot!'' You don't fail if you hit them, but it's not nice. As for realistic gameplay, there is some, but not much. If you hit a hostage in the hand, he dies. If you hit any human being in that game in any body part, there gonna die.

Sound: 9/10 This game has very cool sound. The gun's sounds are cool, and The memorable ''Reload!'' from a weird dude. But Darn it, there's just ain't enough sounds. I would like to hear the dude I'm playing grunt when he gets hit, or the ninja's yell ''Kiaaaaa!!!'' when they attack. But, it's only Saturn, so You really can't have high expectations.

Replay: 7/10 Sure, I love playing this game, but since there's only three levels to choose from, and it's there's no additions to the levels each time you play it, you might not enjoy it as much.

Rent or Buy: This game is pretty hard to find these days
(then again, so's a Saturn.)and you can't rent it anywhere. I'm sure it's cheap, so if you have a Saturn, and you see this game for sale, nab it.

The Good: A nice, arcadey feel, and Virtua Cop 2 is in the Sega Smash Pack for Dreamcast.

The Bad: Only three levels to choose from

The Ugly: There's not a lot of console games like this, so save your quarters.

All in all, this is a very cool game. I had a lot of memories, and a great time. Goodnight, ladies and gentlemen.
