"If you are fortunate enough to see it, BUY IT!"

I can honestly say than Mr. Bones is one of my top three favorite games of all time. This game is an excellent game. It's a perfect mixture of action and puzzle solving skills. You have over 20 different levels to go through spanning over 2 disks. Each level is different. Some are basic side scrollers while others levels are more unique. In one level, you must press the correct buttons to make Mr. Bones play a tune on his magical electric guitar to calm an unruly crowd of skeletons who want nothing more than to dismantle him! This is truly an innovative game!

Story line: 7/10
The story line is pretty basic. You are Mr. Bones, an undead former blues musician, who must save the world from an evil sorcerer named DaGoulian. The story line takes you through a number of different and highly unique places. Although the game can have a dark, gloomy feel to it, you'll find that Mr. Bones will often say or do something to lighten things up.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics are and details are very well done. The cinemas are very well done and advance the plot well. They were done so well that I wish that there were more of them.

Gameplay/Control: 8/10
Mr. Bones for the most part is very easy to control. There were a couple of levels that were very frustrating but overall the gameplay was excellent. Very easy to control. Some levels require you to zap enemies with your plasma bolt, in others, you'll need your trusty guitar but to complete the majority of the levels you'll have to rely on reflexes and the ol' noggin.

Sound:10/10
The tunes and sound effects in this game are awesome! The music is dark, eerie and is sometimes very blues influenced. The voice acting in the cinemas are good with the exception of one character.

Characters: 10/10
The characters in this game are great! They are a little wacky but are very likable.

Conclusion
This game is very good and should have got more respect. There are so many levels and different kinds of levels in this game that you will continue long after you've beaten it. One great feature of the game is that once you've completed a level, you can go back and play through it again, and believe me you will. I'd put this game up there with the Panzer Dragoon series and the other great Saturn titles.

Deny or Buy?
If you ever come across this game you should definitely buy it and not deny it . I'd probably buy it now for $35 if I saw it somewhere.
