"The game's title says it all."

What is there to say? The game is called Mass Destruction, and, well, that's what it is about. Blow up everything you possibly can in this mission-oriented tank game.

Gameplay - The tanks are easy to control, and you can aim your turret in addition to moving around, which is cool. You get a choice of 3 tanks: the fast weak one, the average one, and the strong slow one. It's easy to use the map and switch weapons, easy to blow up everything you see, and easy to obtain special weapons. Some of the missions are confusing and difficult because they involve intercepting convoys and so forth, but they aren't that bad. It is generally an easy game. Good overall gameplay.

Story - I can't imagine how you can derrive a story for a game called Mass Destruction, but they did it. Frankly, it is not that important when you are just shooting everything that moves. You follow a mission plan doing surgical strikes on enemy bases in many different enviorments (forest, desert, snow, city), but mostly end up blowing everything you can find into tiny, tiny pieces. What else is there to say?

Sound - Could be better. There is nothing impressive about about the explosions or gun fire, which would have made the game better. No background music, which even if it was added would take away from the game.

Graphics - They are probably the worst part of the game. They are too polygony and computerized. There is not hint of realism with the graphics, and the colors are awfuly annoying (especially in the desert where everything is essentially the same color). I really didn't expect much from this game anyway though, so I wasn't disappointed.

Replayability - The ending is decent but nothing special. It really isn't worth playing twice if you have already beaten it. It is cool to play the game maybe once in a while just to get your testosterone fix of blowing everything you possibly can to smitherines and then some. A split-screen two-player mode would have been nice, especially if the missions could be tackled with two players.

Overall - If stores still rented Saturn games, you would more often than not find the game there rather than in any Saturn owner's collection. You will be able to find it (if you can) for less than $10, but I wouldn't pay more than that.
