"Upgraded version of the one for Sega CD/32x"

Corpse Killer, said by some to be the one of the worst games in history. Though I don't exactly agree, I by no means think it's good. In the game you are given video sequences telling you what's happening in the story followed by a short shooting level. The shooting levels are done by panning a screen of a large area (cemetery, ruins, ect) from left to right while zombies and other baddies attack you; which you must shoot. Sound simple? That's because it is.

Like I said in the synopsis, this game is an upgraded version of the Sega CD/32x version. Basically coming from Genesis for those who are unaware of the Sega CD and 32x add-ons. The zombies are still very pixilated and rigid in their motion, the backgrounds do look better and the video quality is higher. Still nothing to write home about seeing that this system is a whole generation ahead of the Sega Genesis.

Sound: 4
I'm a little torn with this one. The voice acting isn't great, but it also isn't bad. The sounds in the videos are for the most part high quality, but in the actual playing sections it's pretty lame. (to say the least) You get your generic moans and shooting noises. Absolutely nothing beyond the ordinary when it comes to in game sounds.

Game Play: 2
This is where the game really suffers. It's an FMV (full motion video) shooter. The genre that plagued the Sega CD (FMV games in general) and thankfully died out. The reason it died out is because like most FMV games, there is little player interaction in the game. You mostly just sit and watch the videos. All this game really consists of is playing the same 5 levels over and over again (which are maybe 30 seconds long might I add.) and then watching a video about what's happening. The shooting levels are basically just a large still picture in which the camera moves across to the right. While it's moving heavy pixilated zombies and other things jump out from nowhere (literally!) and attack you. Yawn.

Replay: 1
Seeing that the game offers almost nothing but videos to watch the first time around, there is even less of a reason to go back and do it again. The levels are easy and just plain ridiculous. They offer no enjoyment what so ever except for laughing at it's poor quality.

PROS:
+ High quality video
+ Takes up no system or memory card space

CONS:
- It's like playing B Rated horror film done horribly wrong.
- Boring and short levels
- Lame story
- Repetitive
- Easy
- No save feature
- Just overall ''cheap'' feel.

OVERALL: 2.7 (rounded up to 3 for GameFAQs)
