"As fun, competitive and addicting as they come!"

I agree with the other reviewers who already wrote on this game. They pretty much hit the nail on the head, but here are my added 2 cents.

This game is very fun and has an infinite replay value. You can't ask for much more and as a gamer, it's games like ''Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo'' that reminds you what gaming is all about.

It's hard to explain why I love Puzzle Fighter so much. Not too many games possess that special charm; that... X-Factor. Puzzle Fighter has it in spades. There's just an intangible about this game that gets the blood moving, gets the heart pumping and gets your competitive juices firing. Whether you're playing or watching your friends go at it, Puzzle Fighter contains an uncanny magic that almost everyone levitates to. Guys dig it, girls love it. This game just has that knack to make it so.

There's nothing like getting together eight close friends or so, and just take turns playing. Winner moves on. Loser gets to pout and make excuses until next try. Good stuff indeed.

I highly recommend this game, especially if you have gaming buddies.

But hey, what counts is that in the end, Puzzle Fighter delivers a rocking good time. Sure it might not be the most sound puzzle game gameplay-wise, but to me it's the most fun I ever had with falling blocks.

Graphics: 9
For a puzzle game, they're sharp, colorful and vibrant. This, at the time, was almost as good as it could get for a puzzler in my opinion. The character animations are hilarious and smooth.

Sound/Music: 8.5
The remix themes sound very good. They fit the on-screen action very well. The sound is solid as well. Each character has a lot to spew, and they all do so clearly.

Control: 9
Responsive.

Are there any flaws? Well, yes. One, it seems to be more based on luck than skill. Too many times mindlessly dropping the blocks quickly will override an opponent playing more strategically. But this problem can be compromised if both parties agree to play more strategically than recklessly.
Two, the in-game characters have a built-in handicap. Chun-Li's pretty hard to win with while Donovan is pretty darn tough.
Three, the ''diamond jewel'' can be a deadly weapon if used properly...
Still, a small price to pay, for such a sweet game.

Oh yeah. This game has it. It's the kind you'll pull out every so often. It's the kind that you'll plan to play for 15 minutes and end up still playing an hour later. It's the kind that will make you lose track of time...

Fun Factor: 10
Oh yeah. This puzzle game is, personally, the most exciting and thrilling I've ever played. If you can round up a group of pals who are into this game and of relatively equal skill... man, it's going to be a barn-burner rock 'em sock 'em evening!

Misc:
-Solid loading times. 4-5 seconds.

-End an opponent with a ''big combo'' and you'll be treated to a gorgeous flash of light victory plus your character pounding on your friend's character... this is utterly satisfying and can never be explained in words... because words don't do it any justice.

Some of my best gaming memories came with this game when my Texas cousins slept over for 2 weeks this past summer. Puzzle Fighter is a wonderful ''group game'' and it stands well even alone. But to seek maximum enjoyment, play with a friend or two... or six. You'll find out first-hand just how addicting, competitive, compelling, and charming this game really is.

One of the most enjoyable titles the Saturn has to offer.
