The first one was good, and this one is almost exactly like it –9
I really, really, really, wanted to buy this game after I had played the first one and saw how good it was. It took me a while to find this game. But then I found it in a used video game story and bought it with out ever renting it. I’m very glad I got this game and I wouldn’t trade it for any thing. In many ways it’s as good as the first one and maybe even better.
Story:
In Clockwork Knight one you played and Sir Tongara De Pepperouchau the III and you had to save Chelsea, the clockwork fairy princess, who wakes up all the toys at night. With out her they’d never wake up again. When they finally get her back to the room She’s taken off again by a mechanical monster. They need to get her make before dawn again. Can you do it? That’s the basic story from the game. If you saw the characters or played the first game you can tell that this game has a lot of laughs and weird stuff going on it. The stories good but a little too much like the first game. This disappointed me but since the first game was good you can’t complain very much
Graphics:
The graphics in clockwork knight 2 are great. They are just slightly improved over the first games. You can easily tell characters apart from each other but since each character is nicely designed and completely different from each other it wouldn’t be a problem. The colors are nice and bright. The graphics are very nicely done.
Game play:
The game play is very good. It’s so close to what clockwork knight was though so you wouldn’t expect any thing less than a terrific job done. Levels consist of you starting out from one side of an area and you must jump, push, and fight your way through to the end. Some levels have new things that other levels don’t. Like little trains you must ride and riding your horse. Speaking of the horse. I found that most characters that were in the game took a larger role in it. All the characters from Clockwork Knight appear in this game. They kept all the old fighting moves from Clockwork Knight too. After going trough a room and beating all the levels in it you get to the boss of the room. Once you clear the boss you’ll be able to move on to the next room until you finally get to the last room and fight the final boss. I found Clockwork Knight two to be much easier than Clockwork Knight. I think this is a good thing. In Clockwork Knight two there are a few more options in it than there were in clockwork knight. The Movies! , Bosses Galore, brought things in and made Clockwork Knight feel like it was lacking in extra areas.
Music:
The Music for Clockwork Knight two feels just as it should. Its great just like it was in Clockwork Knight. It fits the backgrounds perfectly and sounds good. Some tunes are good enough to hum down the corner as you’re walking. Others and just ordinary music you’d expect for the Sega Saturn. Either way the music is good.
Other/ Funny stuff
The Movies! , and the Bosses Galore features brought more to this game than there was in Clockwork Knight. There still isn’t a good multiplayer mode that I was hoping for, such as a racing game or a duel. The characters certainly are funny. The horses, the top, the perfume bottle, the baseball are in the game. They’re all funny as ever.
Over all:
The only major problem is that it’s a little too much like the first game. Since the first game was good it might be a good thing that they didn’t change it much. Maybe it’s the key for a good second game. If you’ve never played the first game I would still recommend this game to you. If you have played the first game and liked it you’ll love this game.
