"It made my bones chill with enjoyment"

First of all let me say I have loved the Saturn ever since it came out and this game is one of the greatest games made for it, or any system. It is sad that many people passed up the Saturn and did not get to experience games such as this.

Graphics-9/10
The graphics are a combination of 2-D and 3-D to form...let me see I will just make up a word for it AWESOMENESSOSISTY. The cinemas are also well made. These are probably the best graphics the Saturn has to offer besides Nights into Dreams another excellent title for the Saturn. Even if you go back and play it now in the year 2003 it still looks darn good and I don't think it will ever change.

Gameplay-9/10
This is the epitome of a side-scroller. They have a system when you are low on health your bones fall off and you hop around as just a head and spine and sometimes you have to have certain bones to pass the level it's a neat little puzzle they incorporated for some levels. And even though it is mainly a side-scroller they have various levels that are 3-D and some where you rock out on your guitar. And with over 20 long levels it will last you a very long time. All in all the gameplay is very, very cool.

Story-8/10
It is a side-scroller so the story does not have to be that deep. Basically you are Mr.Bones a dead blues musician resurrected from your grave by DaGoulian who wants you a part of his army of darkness. But you being a kind blues musician does not fall into the darkness and is off on a adventure to stop DaGoulian from spreading evil throughout the world.

Controls-10/10
Solid. That’s all I have to say. The controls are perfectly mapped out for the Saturn controller. What do you expect it is a side-scroller.

Sound-10/10
With Voice acting and original music by blues guitarist Ronnie Montrose the sound quality is excellent. From the sounds when your bones fall or the zapping of your plasma beam (a beam you use to zap enemies) everything sounds absolutely great. Nothing could have been done better in this area.

Overall-9/10
This is one of the best games for Sega’s short-lived system. Everything about it is great and it would be a great addition to anyone’s Saturn library. And if you do not have a Saturn then you are missing out. This game is hard to come by now a’days so if you see it pick it up and play all the enjoyment it gives you.
