"Not half bad...but not half good either"
There has always been a place in my heart for shooting games that give you the power to blow away bad guys...Lethal Enforcers...C.O.P.S in the Arcade...and House of the Dead....but this one for Sega Saturn...well...I don't know...
-Graphics 6/10-
Blocky and choppy. The areas you shoot in are well drawn, but everything else is pretty crappy. When you shoot a person, he just knid of falls over, or flips backwards, which isn't so bad, but when they continuously do it, it makes you want to cringe. And, all of the bad guys look the same, except for the bosses. All in all, I had wished to see something a little different then what I came across in this game.
-Sound 5/10-
Blah. The music stinks, and the reports from the guns shooting sound like a paper bag being popped by an 8-year old kid with nothing better to do. The voice over's aren't so bad, but that doesn't make the cut.
-Gameplay 5/10-
Same old levels over and over, same old shooting, over and over. You'll get bored fast. The AI is cheap as well, and the light guns, if you're lucky enough to find one, doesn't work real well, you'll blow your accuracy in a heart beat by trying to shoot the one bad guy in front of you. Not fun at all.
-Overall 5/10-
This game isn't that great. The bad aiming coupled with the horrible graphics and sound, make me wonder why they ported this game over to the Saturn. It also sheds light on how and why the Saturn went down like it did from something that was supposed to be a great stepping stone, to a rock that you always miss in a giant streambed.
