"My favorite system of all time"

This is my favorite system for 1 reason, it does 2D better then any system ever created. I know the current generation of consoles (XBOX,Ps2,GCN) can probably do 2D better but they dont have many, the Saturn has dozens and dozens of awesome 2D game's and I happen to like 2D games the most.

Graphics-8-The Saturn has some very nice 2D games like Mega Man 8,Mortal Kombat 2, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Saturn Bomberman. Another big advantage of this system is the Ram carts. This allows Neo Geo and Capcom Arcade ports to keep all the animation and load faster. A lot of PSone ports like Metal Slug were missing somethings. So if your picky the Ram Cart is handy.

I always felt the 3D from the N64,PSone and Saturn era was really ugly. Most Games looked blocky and deformed so I gave the Graphics an 8. If this was a 2D machine then I would of game the graphics a 9.

I don't think 3D looked nice until the Dreamcast came out.

Sound-10- Its CD so its going to sound nice. Some of my favorite ''game tunes'' also come from the Saturn. Nights,MK2 and SSF2 Turbo had awesome music.

Control-10-Behind the XBOX this is my favorite controller and definitely my favorite for fighting games. I prefer the Japanese style controller and the analog pad for Nights. Its basically a bigger Genesis pad with shoulder buttons and the Nights pad is like the DC controller.

Game selection-10- So many games that I still need to add to my collection. This system has more then 20 2D shooters as well. The Capcom Generations series is great and the best bomberman game of all time is on this system. This system also has the Best Street Fighters, even better then the 3DO version. This system averages $30 on Ebay so If your a 2D fan your in for a real treat. Be sure to pick up an Action Replay so you can play all the imports. I dont like 3D from this Era too much but Nights into dreams is great and retails for $20 new with controller.

This is my favorite system of all time, my personal opinion is that it failed because it did 2D when 3D was the in thing to do.

Now that time has passed this is clearly a must own system for all retro gaming fans.

The must haves for this system are Saturn Bomberman,Virtua Cop,Nights into Dreams, Street Fighter Collection and Galactic Attack. I choose these because they are cheap and a nice way to start off a Saturn collection.
