"How did the Saturn Die?"

I got A saturn for 25 bucks from funco land and let me tell all you biasesd freaks out their the saturn is an awesome and in some ways better than the psx (yes in some ways better than the system with square soft).

Graphics
As you will notice the graphics realy change through out the generations of games.

First Generation-5
The first generation Graphics of the saturn were a jagged mess they were ugly with the exception of a few tittles. But I do'nt care the game play was still fun.

Secondand-third-8
The second and third generation of Saturn games looked a lot better than the first the jagged polygons have been smoothed up and they look better than most psx games.

Final Generation-9
At this point in the saturns life the developers (what ever little they had) made games with amazing graphics that were better than almost all of the psx and n64 games avalible. When you play a game like Panzer Saga you will think you are playing cut scenes (I am series they look that good)

Sound-10
For all the generations of games the sound was amazing the yamah chip allows excellent music to be played like the music you hear in Nights and the Panzer Dragoon series.

Game selection
This system has it all. I am only going to name a few of the saturns great games.

Fighting Games-10
This system has some of Segas greatest fighting games that you need skill to win not crazy button mashing. With games like Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighters Megamix this is one of the top reasons to own a saturn.

Action-10
Action games on this system are great but their really only a few good action games worth buying but when you get them you will be hooked for months and maybe even years. Four Classic games are get resurected in Sonic Jam and the amazing amount of fun factor in Nights make action games a must buy for any saturn owner.

Shooter-9
With some of my favorite shooters of all (the first 2 Panzer games) time I would have given this a ten but it is backed up with horrible games like Virtua Cop and Alien Trilogy.

Rpg-Strategy-7
Saturn has only one good really good rpg that I have played that game being Panzer Dragoon Saga. Also only one good strategy game that being Shining force 3 wait a few months befor buying a saturn rpg.

Sports-6
I have only liked a few sports games and I do know the saturn has some excellent sports games I really never payed attention to them.

Racing-5
To tell the truth I really hate racing games and the racing games on this system are not worth your time or money.

Loading
The loading for the saturn is basacally as fast as the psx and in some cases faster but their are some games that have slower than dreamcast load time.

Controll-10
The controll for this system is as easy as waking up in the morning (in sabins case as easy as sleeping through the morning) the controll for every game I ever played on this system has been quick and easy.

Memory
To tell the truth I really hate the way this system saves. It saves directly to the system so if you are going to your friends house who has a saturn and you need to beat Nights or something unless you spend 20 bucks on a similar to memory card device you will have to bring your saturn to your friends house.

Overall-9
This is definatly the most underrated system of all time. You can buy a saturn for 25 bucks at funco land and great games like Nights for 5 bucks and I would recomend doing so trust me you will not be disapointed. James:)
