Shining the Holy Ark

"A great game if you own a Saturn and looking for a great rpg!"

I personally think this is one of the best games you will ever get for the saturn. The game is made by Sega and has similar look to Shining force 1 and 2 for the regular Genesis.

Graphics-10/10. This game has wonderful graphics! The 3D graphics really grab your attention. I love talking to people, just how they move when they talk to you. In battle you get up close to some of the monsters and thier apperance changes a lot, like the enimies face looks more detailed. Walking around in the woods is really fun. When you get into battles, your comrades in the battle move in front of you when they are attacking, when they do, you can tell how great they look. The graphics in this game are great.

Story-9/10. The story in this game is great, but not perfect. You pick up many characters later in the game beside Melody and Rhodi. Some of the people you will just hate, but most of them are likable. This game carries a regualr plot, save the world.

gameplay-9/10. This game is incredibley fun to play, with two exceptions. One: It takes very long to level up your characters. and two:This game is very hard for the beginner. If you have patience, you can make it, but if you want a game where you can waltz right through it, this is not it.

Replay-7/10. This game is enjoyable, don't get me wrong, but it just is not as fun to play a second time. It is not worth it leveling up your characters a second time around. Most people do not have enough patience to spend and hour or two to build two or three levels.I just can't find a reason for a second time. You might want to leave it down the basement for a year and play it then.

Sound-10/10. I thought the music was great. Some may say different. I love how the enemies screech at me when I go into a battle. I also love the music while saving, though it does remind me of the please hold on music on the phone.

Overall- 10/10. I love this game, what can I say. It is not Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger, but it is one of my favorite games. If you are interested in buying this game, you can visit www.funcoland.com, or at a local store(in the Eastern USA).
