"Sega needs to re-release this!"

Sonic takes a time trip. Ooh, this game is fun!

GAMEPLAY - This game plays like any other 2D Sonic game: run through the stage collecting rings and bashing baddies. The twist, however, is that you can travel to the past or future. Also, what you do in the past can affect the way the future turns out. Very well done. Also the special stages are very unique and fun, truly one-of-a-kind! In these stages, you get a over-the-shoulder view and your goal is to take down UFOs. If you can nail them all within the time limit, you will receive a time stone. Just for your information, Amy from Sonic Adventure is from this game.

STORY - Robotnik has built all over a planet orbiting Mobius, and you have to re-foliate it. Come now, you couldn't just let it die! Then where would the fun of playing the game be? There's also someone to save....

GRAPHICS - It's a 2D, sprite-based game. Nothing out of the ordinary, but the special stages look oh so very sweet! Beautiful for the time. Nice even today. Also, there are Anime openings and endings.

SOUND - Sega CD uses all digital sound, playable on any CD player, might I add (just don't play track one). Sound effects are normal enough.

REPLAY VALUE - This is a game you could play over and over start to finish and not be bored. The time travel add just a bit more replay value than your average Sonic game. Considering that the past effects future, you can keep trying to get everything just right. Then there are all the time trials and extras to unlock. The fun just keeps going and going.... High.

BUY OR RENT - If you can find it anywhere, pick it up if you like Sonic games. It's a blast!

BOTTOM LINE - This is easily the best game I've seen for Sega CD. It's also high on the overall list of good games! I don't think this game will disappoint anyone.
